if you gain any enjoyment from jumping on the forum and whine about how shit your night/day out was, then good on you, just stay at home forever behind your computer, i hope i will never have to see you out because melbourne scene doesn't need more people like you!

For some reason the media went very quiet about it yesterday...

got me quite interested also, cant find anything bout it in any papers that i could see!

wonder why its gone all quiet?!

Maybe the lack of security or something looks bad on the event and such

imagine your sons/daughters going off to a festival and then getting the news that their dead! thats full on!

Posted by m1kest4r on Mar-13-2007 02:42:

most of those he played in the first hour...

he opened with back by any demand!

Just like most stabbings, I find it hard to believe that they were just randoms who got stabbed for no reason by some other randoms. Call me cynical, but I'm sure there was a reason why.

Still it's not very good news that they had so little security there. That's pretty fucking bad organising in Melbourne.

Posted by montyez on Mar-13-2007 02:54:

Hmm ok cool thx

i know 5 of those trax, must be the other ones,

Posted by Jake willo on Mar-13-2007 03:07:

Yeah you would have thought so really...unless they are complete lunatics!! Apparently one of the guys was stabbed 7 times, thats pretty harsh!!

Maybe it also went quiet due to them not catching the people who did it!!

It was by the toilets cus the security guard told me it had happened about 5 minutes before i had got there!! Mental!!!

Posted by montyez on Mar-13-2007 03:23:

fk! 7 times! thats full on!

badly harsh, wonder why

i thought every1 was all loved up anyway!

tsk tsk

oh ok, fk that!

I thought it was a really good day in the end. Crowd was a bit iffy, as was the music in places, but if you were at the right stages at the right times I can't see how you wouldn't have enjoyed it. Spent most of the time at the Mischief stage and fucking loved it for the most part.

Impressed at how well my memory held up in the end actually, because it was a looooong day. Disappointed I couldn't catch up with more TAs but the coverage was fucked and only about one out of every ten messages I sent got through. Oh well, next time.

damn straight he was on song.....

so many good tunes - none of which i can remember

Posted by Tangil on Mar-13-2007 05:18:

I'll help you out then:

Martin Luther King - I have a dream speech
Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life

can't remember the next few but then

Moldan & Ismae - Fivefivezero
16 Bit Lolitas - Non verbal Language
Paolo Mojo - 1983 (eric prydz remix)
Shiloh - cafe del mariachi
Shiloh - cafe del mariachi (nick warren mix)
The Killers - Mr. Brightside (TWD)

can't remember the next bit but WOW - Killa was the second last track and I'm pretty sure Pole Folder - b side was in there too.

Up until Mr. Brightside was awesome, then killa got things going again. Really loved the set, especially how he was able to bring the tempo down after Sander but keep people there.

Gave Famous a ring but they've not heard anything, my bet is he isn't playing this Saturday.

*drool*

the martin luther speech over that tune, just like one of his promo mixes from earlier this year. I <3 Mr. Warren

16 Bit Lolita's - Neptune
into
16 Bit Lolita's - Non Verbal Language

he can probably do that mix in his sleep (or off his head) and it would sound perfect every time.

what a mad cvnt

Will have to catch up with some of you guys at future gigs.

Posted by gatecrasher0 on Mar-13-2007 06:45:

fmf went off, i think partially cause of corsten's efforts and presence.

some smooth tracks from his new album and old school also.

Posted by kristakarma on Mar-13-2007 08:04:

tis true fmf was a fucking awesome day, SvD dropped killer tracks despite the TRAVESTY that was his absence from main stage. let us just pray that it doesn't stop the man from coming back!

Posted by Trance Nutter on Mar-13-2007 08:12:

Yeah, SvD was awesome, Nick Warren was too, hugeness on a whole new scale those two. Cox and Ferry didn't really surprise me in any way, wasn't really feeling them. Ferry played a couple of doozy tracks but in general was a bit 'meh'. Although I will admit I was hurtin and massively hungry by the time the last two plaed so I was struggling in general. LTJ was also really good, enjoyed his set a lot, just the right breed of dnb that. JDS in the SoCo room was entertaining too, just cool breaks but nothing earth shattering, only stayed in there for about 20 mins to have a rest and a drink.

If you missed Nick Warren, you missed out big time. Sounds like he played some awesome tracks in Melbourne that he didn't here though, Killers and Killa we missed out on (which sucks cos I love both of them!)

Some friends left Ferry to check out what was happening on other stages and I directed them to Josh Wink, they came back after prob 20-30 mins saying he was awesome but the MC was ruining it. As I was walkign out I heard Princess Superknob on the mic there so I guess it was her, (apparently she was so fuckin rank during her set too)

Loved it, had a ball. Ended up getting a heap of my mates to come along but differing music tastes and crowds meant I hardly saw most of them.

Posted by Tangil on Mar-13-2007 08:39:

Saw Princess Superstar play at the afterparty, worst performance I have ever heard.

By any chance were you the guy at the front row while Sander was DJing yelling out "You should have been on main stage Sander"!
