Well if it's any consolation, those types of depots in those kinds of regimes usually end up on the sharp end of their own tyranny by someone much closer to home who wants to be the cockerel crowing on the dunghill.
I would just like to quote a comment that I saw in the Guardian today.

Sounds like Ahmadinejad has got himself some good Games Theeory advisors. Hm. Maybe some ex-RAND corporation guys started freelancing when the neocons went all faith-based? Just remember, children; logic beats faith nine times out of ten. |

The sooner out sailors are back the better and this situation can be brushed underneath the carpet. Regardless of Blair and Bush being best mates and the mess in Iraq. These naval personnel deserve to be back on home shores and not be pawns between two nations. Iran in the whole course of this matter have acted like a load of fucking cowboys and I've lost whatever amount respect I had for them. |

| Originally posted by HardTranceProd haha... I was once approached by a gay guy. In a Starbucks, no less. Of course, as soon as I realized what was going on, I politely excused myself and ran away... LOL. However, I remember being struck by how confident and smooth the approach was. I thought to myself, if the average straight guy had even half the confidence and charisma of this gay guy when approaching girls, then he would be a fucking hero. I mean, here was a guy who could get a pretty violent reaction from most people, and yet exuding the confidence that most straight guys can never project with girls. Truly, there is some stuff that we straight guys can learn from gays. |

| Originally posted by Magnetonium Hmmm ... is it because Ahmadinejad is such a nice guy? I mean, he released the marines within a week. How long did it took for US to release the Iranian diplomats they illegally seized? Where's all the spotlight on US aircraft violating Iranian airspace? Tony Blair should have been thankful when Iran decided to release the marines, instead Tony Blair decided to be an asshole and told Iran to co-operate better next time. What a dick. Iranians give in, British play it as their political victory! Not even a thanks! I guess you didnt see Ahmadinejad's warm treatment of the British marines when he announced their quick release. Were they tortured? Not fed? Placed butt-naked in a jail cell? |
Just to be clear for everyone, as well as for my conscience to be clear on how my bold president acts, the U.S. was NOT involved with these negotiations.
You got that? Bush does NOT negotiate with terrorists:

| The Iranian diplomat released Tuesday preceding the announcement that Iran would free the 15 British sailors it had taken hostage was being held in a joint Iraqi and American facility, and was released in part because of a decision at the highest levels of the American government. The decision to release Jalal Sharafi on Tuesday was made at the White House, according to an administration official who asked to be anonymous because of the sensitivity of the information. [] Pentagon and White House spokesmen on Tuesday and Wednesday insisted publicly that the release of Mr. Sharafi was solely an Iraqi decision. http://www.nysun.com/article/51853 |

Iran is not terrorist if thats what some of you are implying. Last time I checked, after 9/11 Iran offered assistance in aprehending Al Qaeda and handed over operatives it seized. Instead, later on USA refuses to have a mutual co-operation programm with Iran and decides to go on its own program. And as a bonus, it adds Iran to the axis of evil. And then the rest is history ...
