and what you just posted sounds A LOT the situation i was just in a few weeks ago, it was so annoying but i kept on falling for it anyway... finally i just called it off and it's been done with ever since... it's a tough choice but if you stick with it, it gets easier as time goes on and you realize it just ain't worth it...
