"The trouble with this Entertainment District right now is that 50,000 hooligans swamp into this place on a weekend night and it's gotten to the point where the police can't control it," said city councillor Adam Vaughan. "It's not very entertaining when you get stabbed or shot at or a beer bottle thrown from the third floor."

I love how all people who go down there on a weekend are classified as 'hooligans'. I used to respect this guy when he started just because of his father's work - but - the son is turning out to be a drama queen.

Tiesto has already been announced as a resident DJ at Circa....I will be spinning in the VIP area every other Saturday....mostly house but some happy hardcountry has been known to hit the decks as well.

while it's not 50,000 hooligans i kinda agree with him

has anyone ever driven on richmond st at around 2:30am? i did last week on a friday and it's ridiculous, i saw a group of black people fighting 4 police officers outside of metro, then i saw 2 black guys run across the street and almost get hit by 2 cars then i saw a cop car pull over and 2 officers run into the parking lot because someone was stabbed or shot, that's what i saw just from driving by the area, it's fucking crazy what is happening there.. it wasn't like this 2-3years ago..

Holly Fak that's kind of scary ... I don't think i have ever seen such a mess around Guv, Footwork, Docks, Sonic not even around Zone .... well around Zone there is a different kind of mess

I think we all know why its like that...

Not to hard to conclude...

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Aug-29-2007 14:58:

after seeing some recent photos of Circa...this place looks amazing....definately setting the bar high....its gone places where no other club has in toronto....that being said....definately not my type of party environment but for those who like to get all decked out and dressed to the nines....its definately a place for you....its going to be the place to be seen that is for sure.

Posted by kaniz on Aug-29-2007 15:05:

I dont like that area at all. I even dislike going to a late show at the paramount on a Friday or Sat, as just as the theater empties out, Richmond Street is pretty full and I cant get out of that area fast enough.

Still kinda curious about Circa, if/when it opens I'll probably check it out at least once - but that will largely depend if they book any DJs that catch my interest enough.
