Great performance from roma.

Mirko vucinic is quite a player. Never really seen much of him, but he made a huge difference when he came on for mancini

any day the putos exit europe is a great day.

on an unrelated note, i wish real would've won the bidding for pato... would've been great - Pato the Puto

Dominated? Were we watching the same game? That was the most uninspired CL match I've seen this season. Boorrring

btw, Liverpool plays Inter NEXT week. They just defeated West Ham in a Prem game today

Posted by jonze on Mar-05-2008 22:25:

chelsea dominated today. it was pretty laughable.

We're out but it was such an epic match. Neuer made the best single game by a goalkeeper that I've seen in ages. At least three absolutely impossible saves: Tarik's header in the first half where it hits his hand almost by accident, Tarik's header in the second half where he saves it karate-style, and the save to Lisandro's penalty kick. Plus kept his cool when Quaresma went one-on-one against him.

Great goal by Lisandro. The team had a brilliant attitude even with 10 players. I can't blame any of them, luck just wasn't on our side.

I admit Hlton should've been sent off (made a save outside of the area), but Fucile's sending off was a bit exaggerated.

Roma -> I hope it's this year that Totti & co. will find glory in Europe. I'm supporting them from now on.

indeed.

milan is just too freaking old. I'm surprised they didn't collapse like 3 years ago.

looks like this off season, a lot of players need to be bought

Sheva should come back to Milan.

given the average age of the squad , they'l be calling him the future of Milan even though he is 31.

Milan need to invest in youth. They have more than enough experienced players who can serve as mentors for the youth. But then again, the attitude of the players seems to be along the lines of - Its only a stupid trophy, if things arnt going our way, no point pouring our hearts out into staging a comeback.

Indeed. Arsenal totally schooled Milan, Cesc was immense tuesday night, Adebayor gives them a new way of playing too, not afraid to use the pace & skill of widemen and it's led to a better team overall.

Then again, any team playing people like Kalac can't expect to go far in any competition.

I think Quaresma could and should have done a lot better with that one. Porto missed too many goals yesterday.

Oh, I almost forgot: bye-bye Putos

Arsenal are playing football from a different planet, they will munch their opponents away through to the finals. I can't think of any teams left with a strong enough defence to stop them. But its not just the defence, you pretty much need to be better than average in all areas if you want to beat this Arsenal.

I'm picking Arsenal and Roma taking it to the end.

It really depends if Fabregas shows up. If he's on his game, Arsenal is really hard to beat. If he isn't on his game (which has happened pretty much in 2008), Arsenal can get frustrated and be beat.

True, it was more of a miss than a save, but the keeper still did well there.

By the way, I have a word for you... "Getafe".

Everything went wrong for us yesterday... Cardozo's sending off (he repeated what he did to Tonel but this time he got a real referee) , Luiso's injury, the 1-0 was a rebound, Edcarlos' laughable miss (and I think he would deserve a red card more than Cardozo)...
If we were some years ago, I'd say that we'd win in Getafe and go through, but now... bah.

They need help up front. I don't think Abedayor has what it takes to be a lone striker. When is RVP supposed to come back?

+1.

especially by those tight shirt wearing Roma bitches

Inter needs a miracle...or Barnsley to play for them this week if they want to advance. At least Arsenal is still in it for my football rooting sake.

Posted by chesco on Mar-11-2008 21:54:

Good riddace to inter.

Come back when you actually play an italian in your side.
