Burial - Untrue. I succombed to the hype. It is simply fucking flawless and the most originalthing to come out in the past year.

The Timewriter - Soulstickers and Trafik - Club Trafikana do it for me.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the latter. Such an underrated album that definitely deserves more mention.

Madoka-A Cure for Loneliness

I'm glad you mentioned this since I'd more or less forgotten about it. Great album indeed, though I thought their first was better.

Man, it is fucking weird. However, not bad at all.

i am split between 2

Sunlounger -- Another Day on The terrace

&

First State -- Time Frame

both are unique, amazing and original

i agree, but thats why i like it. So many producers try and sound a certain way when they really should be trying to be different. Untrue is something you can't lump into a pile with 400 things that sound the same so to me itsa lasting power is longer and anything original im a fan of. I mean i listen to techno...weird is good.

Word mate

I agree with your post, there is so much generic shit out there, and Burial made difference with Untrue... However his first album was hit also.

Posted by callme:gsmile: on Dec-21-2007 18:36:

i agree but to be completely honest i only bought the first one after listening to the second. I actually had no clue about Burial before this release.

'Sunlounger - Another Day On The Terrace' takes my vote!

Definately Intuition Sessions Volume 1: South Africa.

Agreed- their first really demonstrated their production competency in a number of styles, and they almost all sounded great, whereas Club Trafikana was more narrow in scope (though I was really happy to hear Thought Line). I didn't appreciate it as much, probably because I was expecting something more similar to Bullit, but I'll need to give this a second listen.

I really wish I had the second disc, though, as my promo copy only came with the first.

Sunlounger for sure. Amazing album.

Yeah their second album was more of an upbat aproacehed compared ot their first one. Somehow I think I like the second one better...

Check out 4mal's remix of 'Salt in NYC', this gets a progressive house treatment.

Is there a site where are collected ALL new electronic albums of 2007? Also older years would be great.

Posted by flavdave on Dec-25-2007 16:26:

I'm still going with Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga.

Posted by ibz on Dec-25-2007 18:20:

I really haven't been keeping up with the latest albums but one that I did was Markus Schulz - progression.

Posted by sljiva on Dec-25-2007 20:00:

Maybe not my favourite (or the best), but definitely up there with my favourites: Pantha Du Prince - This Bliss. Don't know if anybody mentioned it already, but it certainly deserves a mention in this thread

Posted by FCB_Fanatic on Dec-25-2007 23:12:

probably one of the following:
- Planisphere Solarism / Solarized
- Prosper The Speed Of Sound
- Solar Fields Earthshine
- Beetseekers Out Of The Blue Moon

maybe I'm even forgetting some good albums

Posted by callme:gsmile: on Dec-26-2007 05:18:

be careful man, its nothing like the stuff i play. It isnt a dancefloor album but an easy listening album. I've had it on repeat all night, you can just get lost in it.
