futureshop and bb have a pioneer 9120 txh thats 7x110w, hdmi 1.3 and decodes all the new formats. its thx select 2 certified, which means itll be fine for any small/mid sized home theatre with a viewing distance of up to about 10 or 12 ft...
ive had one for a year now and am happy with it. it was $1199 when i bought it and last i saw them they were like $649...good bang for the buck...
i looked at the older version of that onkyo..the 605. it had lots of problems with popping sounds, and apparently some of them caught fire. there were a few threads about it over on avs.
a lot of itll depend on what speakers youre driving...id buy them both somewhere with a good return policy and return the one you dont like as much..

ive had my ps3 since the beg of the summer. got a new 1080p tv aswell(can do 24p aswell)
its epic!
band of brothers on blu ray is simply amazing
blu ray/1080p/HD it all shit unless you have a tv with a 120hz motion flow feature.....
I got the 46" Sony Bravia W Series LCD with the 120hz Motion Flow it makes 1080p dvds have a 3D feel.......its crazy......
