Screw the EPL, more importantly in the Primera Madrid drew away to Mallorca 1-1 which was an oppurtunity for the Yellow Submarines to reduce the lead but they lost to Sevilla today. Barcelona also failed to get maximum 3 points drawing at home to a resurgent Getafe. Betis is on fire and put 3 past Zaragoza at La Romareda. Valladolid put more misery to Levante who are going down to Segunda end of this season. A bunch of goals in the Atletico Madrid vs Almeria game with Atletico putting 6 past Almeria but Almeria did score 3 in a very entertaining game. Oh and I can't believe Valencia lost again. Things not looking good for Los Che. Koeman must be sacked, he is absolute rubbish even though he did well in Copa del Rey. Valencia missing out on UCL spot for next season.. i hope David Villa doesn't leave 'em because I like him at Valencia, he fits in nicely to their system when they do have their old Valencia system running well.

Riquelme is one of a type... there is no player like him. He's just one of a kind and it's sad that he's gone back to Boca but he likes the attention and in Buenos Aires, he gets that. He didn't have the heart in Europe. He wasn't interested at Barcelona either.

The thing with Riquelme is he is not just a player but he understands football. Whenever he plays for a team he is the fulcrum. He dictates the pace of the game, knows where to direct the ball. This is one of the reasons Riquelme is going to the Olympics with the U21 team as one of their senior players (you're allowed 3 over 21 players in an Olympic squad). He wants Riquelme in the team because of his style and the way he understands the game and to pass that knowledge onto the youngsters. I think it's a very good choice.

I second that. What a game it was. Chelsea was annihilated. Next match will be very interesting. Fenerbahce been a total wildcard this year, Surprised everyone with their success so far. InterMilan, PSV, CSK Moscow, Sevilla, next maybe Chelsea. What an achievement.
Money can't buy football after all.

how do you figure that? Oympiakos beat chelsea at their home ground, they play at stamford bridge and were slapped silly. Don't underestimate chelsea, sure their under the microscope for the way the club is managed, but they haven't lost a game at home all season. Not underestimating Fenerbahce but at the same time, I know chelsea at home.

Posted by Paulie on Apr-08-2008 11:47:

They havent lost a game at stamford for a lot longer than 1 season!

Posted by RaverSpike on Apr-08-2008 20:42:

because you are not consistent!

from what i heard it was 2-2 then you got a dubious penalty and then scored the last goal on the counter so not sure how much you really dominated but i wont comment properly until i have seen the full replay tonight.

Posted by sLiCk_NiCk on Apr-09-2008 13:06:

inconsistent but a champion team in the competition of champions

Posted by TRANSPHERE on Apr-09-2008 22:23:

lol you guys were lucky - that wasnt a penalty!! In that stage of the game and it being champions league and all i thought that was a very stiff call...

man u won 3-0 on aggregate
barca won 2-0 on aggregate

Semi's:

man u vs barca!
liverpool vs chelsea!

victory lost though

Posted by PauLie_C on Apr-10-2008 00:10:

Arsenal were robbed, pure and simple!

Infront of the Kop, the ref was always going to pay it if he could, clearly not a penalty, disgusting call, disgusting end to what was a fukin awesome tie

Great goal by Tevez this morning.

I hope Chelsea beat Liverpool,

Posted by christos on Apr-10-2008 01:00:

go Chelsea!

Paulie, yeah I know bro, was taking about this season for now....don't f*ck around with Chelsea at Stamford.

the emirates atmosphere just wasn't intimidating enough for the ref to give it after Hleb went down

Posted by PauLie_C on Apr-23-2008 01:46:

ohh how funny this morning was, suck shit liverpool, looks like the KOP luck ran out in style.

Posted by christos on Apr-23-2008 01:50:

Go the blues...loved reading about the own goal at the 94th min, chelsea at stamford will take it for the 2nd leg game.

MAN U v BARCA will be a game and a half, will try wake for that.....

chelsea could still do the double, arsenal have slipped. Man u can't lose a game as can't chelsea to have any chance of pulling it from under Man U.

Liverpool have never scored at Stamford Bridge under Rafa Benitez - a run that stretches back eight games and includes four Barclays Premier League matches, three European Cup ties and last December's Carling Cup quarter-final defeat.

Posted by RaverSpike on Apr-30-2008 21:39:

Fuck yeah we in the final sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, drogba u gun, should 've been 4-2 oh well what can you do do Dam Refree, now to beat Man Utd,
