1993 according to discogs
choooooon
wow! the visual setup was maaad! great laaaaaserz
always love blinky's stuff, especially a tune about 12:30 he played, a mad breaks one. i need to get a hold of some of his stuff
richie rich was fantastic!!! quench - dreams, lsg - netherworld and man with no name - vavoom (i think haha) to start off with, i went nuts hehe. some really mad tunes! a couple were showing their age, but there were heaps that sounded just as good now as they would have back then. everybody loves melt - be liquid, i gerry may have underestimated its popularity earlier in this thread. the tune before that was great as well but i cant remember what it is hehe
there are lots of tunes coming out these days that are called trance and well i dont see anything in them that would actually make you feel..in..a trance...so many of these tracks he played really epitomise "trance" for me. the right blend of trippyness, mad beats and melody which is what i think trance is about.
tom cosm played some good stuff and some stuff that i was a bit "meh" about, a nice variety of tunes. chwen played some good stuff too, but i spent most of their sets out the front listening to scotty
bateman played some mad stuff too! especially after 'insomnia', it really went up a notch i think. played a new track he made which sounded pretty good i thought, but the ones he played after were better hehe. some of the cosmic gate stuff i didnt really get into but i was going off later towards the end, which resulted in a "what have you taken tonight??" enquiry haha.
saw the tail end of ben after scotts set, was a bit too fast, i really like most of the tunes he played in the last 30 mins or so but i think they didnt need to be pitched up that much. shame it all had to end 30 mins early too. bastards
too bad that big group of drunken poms in fluro didnt want to pay $15 to get in, it would have been entertaining lol
so yeah great night! haven't stayed out to the end for a party for a while. love interview hehe

but trance isn't trance unless it's trance!
it's something else.
Speaking of Be Liquid, does anyone know where to find a good copy of this (i.e wav or 320kbps)?
The version I've always had is 128 and doesn't sound all that flash; I've been looking for a good version for the past two years.
yeke yeke
funny night haha
everyone had a mad time, well done benny & co
richie, julian and scotty were the picks for me in terms of moozac
What a massive night! miss libertines was such a fantastic place to have interview! really felt like it was alive inside there all night! congrats to everyone who came and played and partied! glad you all enjoyed yourselves! HD video and Live recordings of the main room will be available soon
cheers all! yeah i agree philby! i listened back to my recording and i came out of the gates pretty fucking fast! but was past the point of no return to bring it back before i realised how fast it sounded!

Always great to catch up with the TA crew i don't get to see so much these days.
I had a fun night, drank way too much beer, oh god my head hurts
Thanks for the comments too guys, i'm really glad you enjoyed the set

has anyone noticed there is something different with the sound when blinky plays? i cant quite put my finger on it but its like there is less bass or lower frequencies? i dunno im not good with technical terms but i seem to notice something different whenever he is on compared to djs before and after.

Hey Philby, yeah, i was chatting to Benny about this earlier today as you're not the only one who meantioned it, it's the EQing and Master Compression, I changed to Ableton's native ones for system stability sake but and am about to get rid of 'em coz they're not cutting the mustard, will be brown note bass all 'round next time
Just run the mix through Ozone on the master blinks
Another real gem of a Party that was!!!
Thanks a mil to Ben, Blinky & Company. Also thanks to all the beautiful people in the crowd, familiar or not who with their presence make Interview events everytime a special time hard to let go in the days to follow...
Cofirmations on what has already been said:
Miss Libertines is a very cozy venue with nothing but goodygood vibes.
Blinky! WE want more sound definition in your otherwise brilliant tunes...
Richie Rich, you are not finished yet!!!
Tom C.O.S.M - you are a wizard of the upper echelons!!!
Chwen - keep on channeling the energy for us, Brother.
Scott Bateman - you are getting there!!!
Ben Evans - the one and only who can start with Lone Ranger on 146+ and get us dancing our arses off!!!
We would have liked to squeeze in more of the talented DJ's that played on the night but it was just impossible.
Looking so forward to the next Interview Party and hope to see all of you there...
