Cheer against him? Hardly.

I have nothing but love for El Capitan.

I went to bed after normal time, I was like a fuckin zombie. I'm still pissy about the 2nd flyers goal where they pushed morrison into Huet and effectively had an empty net to shoot into. Still, for this washington team there'll be other years, for montreal for example there might not, simply due to the number of UFA and RFAs they have, keeping them all within the wage cap will be hard/impossible

Posted by elFreak on Apr-23-2008 09:52:

-false they got rid of 3 million with huet
-ryder wont be resigned there is another 2.5 saved
-montreal was already 7 million under the cap at the end of the year
-the cap is increasing 4 million
-there really isnt anyone importnant to resign next year other than mark streit

if you do the math

that is 16.5 million dollars of cap room for a team that finished first in the conference and is number 3 in central scoutings youth depth chart in the league.

stick to soccer

le pwned

(Dont forget next year is the 100th anniversary of the team, they are hosting the all star game, and the entry draft. with all that room next years team will be even stronger. Bob Gainey = Genius.)

that's the last time i take my information from a leafs fan

Posted by elFreak on Apr-23-2008 09:56:

I'm pulling the jealousy card and the lets see you do better all at once.

i would spew nonsense too if i knew my favorite team had tee times already locked for the next 5 springs.

seriously the last person you ask about hockey is a leafs fan...if they knew anything about the game they would not like the leafs.

i'm soooo going to that all star game the 100 yr celebration video i saw is awesome the team is doing so much to promote it.

Didn't want to start a thread just to ask this simple question, so this is probably the place to do it...

How's Theo Fleury doing? Last thing i heard was that he was in rehab, a few months later i heard he's struggling for his life??

He definitely had one of the biggest Hearts in NHL history.

good luck getting tickets for that

there is a 10 year waiting list for season tickets...scalpers will probably charge an arm and a leg. Your best bet would be to get cozy with George Gilette. 100 years will be huge...fuck Detroit they aint hockey town.

they only make 2000 tickets available to the general public each game.

I have a soft spot for Theo even though he was one of the 27349274982743 stars that the Rangers signed that didn't really pan out for the team.

According to that reliable source known as Wikipedia, he lives in Calgary and is involved with a concrete making business.

Thanks Vern, appreciated

Caps are out... Well, not THAT surprising since they're such a young team. Took it right to the end tho', so you can only imagine how much better they'll be next year with this kind of experience.

Meh. Not many other teams I'm really rooting for at this point. Be interesting to see Montreal or Pittsburgh go all the way but I'm not terribly invested in either team. I s'pose the only team left I'm really pulling for is Colorado now but even then it's not much for me to check out every game.

I'd shave my Playoff beard at this point but there's still NBA playoffs to watch. Go Suns!!
