God I hope so, I've been owning him lately in it, as has Keryn, so he needs to redeem himself.

you blatantly just got called on numerous contradictions and you're getting mad at me? grrrrrr, you're tough!

please

I havent got called on one single contradiction,,and the people who can read can see that..

Not to mention all the phone calls I had with people on the way down there, trying to get people in the fucking place..

Let's see who backs you up..

I'm standing up for the people, and you're standing up for the venue..

But if you don't support people who support your nights totally,,that's cool also..

Jon,Albert,Sheila and Steven and prolly a few moor..

please, don't try and rope other people into a group with you. You just named 3 people that have nothing to do with your endless contradictions.... to quote again....your original take on why you didn't get in late in the night....

but then the story changes to suit your argument. To reiterate, Clubs HAVE to turn people away at some point in the night. its the right thing to do so people don't pay $30 to party in a club for only 20 minutes. Its not personal, its the right thing to do.

This needn't turn into an internet mudslingingfest. Seriously.

No one supports or thinks as much of Core as me Frank...No ******...

That's not really a fair statement Steve. As I wrote earlier, Zack is merely stating the reason for it, not that their judgement was necessarily correct with the specific TA's involved.

Edit: When it comes to turning away "unsavories", that is. We all agree that taking $30 from someone at a late hour when the club closes at 5 is not a good equation for the clubber.

no, I'm rationally explaining why the venue refused to let people in the venue, and you are blatantly lying....

ask almost any TA here how much of an effort I personally make at any and all of our events to take care of people and figure any door issues out...including recently telling Love that we would no longer do parties there until they got rid of the head door man that people here had problems with. get your facts straight and stop trying to win people over with your lame tactics.

I don't need to rope anyone into my arguements,, I'm already getting text messages, Pm's and IM's telling me that I'm right...

LOL, I'm sure those phantom texts and PMs are flying in right now!

so what is your official reason for not getting into WH btw? sneakers? they were closing? I still haven't gotten a straight answer on that....

Blatantly lying is War talk and I'll never support another Core Event again...

Call me a liar all you want...I'll leave it up to Sheila to explain fully...Call her a liar and.......

please explain your sudden change of story then...this whole argument has spawned as a result of you telling two totally different stories... Please enlighten me. I'd like nothing more than to write this whole thing up to you being drunk, or confused. Please help me understand this.

Theres no change of story and it's all documented..

Posted by Keryn on Apr-17-2008 03:52:

wow, Top Chef kept me from this!

steven, why are you so quick to make rash judgements about things without finding out what is really going on? "WH sucks" is your first comment about the night. why not ask around and see if maybe there is a good reason why they weren't letting people into the venue.

Let's stop calling each other liars for a start:

Ok...I've read the posts and I was there every moment that night so here's what's up:

I was tired Saturday, so we left very late (10pm.)
Because on the drive we got info that ppl were being refused entry at WH wearing sneakers.I have a modem card to use the laptop on the road and we also spoke to Wai and Brian about it. As it was late we decided not to chance it, and to go to see Eli first then try WH.
So that's what we did.
A little after three we left Sully and got to WH. People were on their way out (looking like they had a great time btw) but we knew the ppl we wanted to see were still partying away inside as we had texts from Brian right when we left Sully.
Unfortunately, the bouncers cleared the ppl outside, saying no one was getting in. We tried to ask for the promoter Michael etc. But to no avail. They actually lied saying Mike had left.

Let me be clear about this: We were not sketchy, combative or drunk (we left the house so late we had only been out a couple of hours anyway.)
Also, the doormen were definately getting off on asking us questions knowing full well they were not going to let us or anyone else in.
The reason being as Steven has always stated: it was on the late end of things, and they (doorstaff)want to go home sooner rather than later.

So, I'm not sure where the confusion lies, but calling Steven a liar after all the support he has shown you guys is really pretty rotten.

And you all say Pacha is bad!

I've only had negative experiences with Webster.

Posted by zachias31 on Apr-17-2008 04:20:

ew, i usually like a good TA fight, but not between people I like.

Posted by ohemjeestatus on Apr-17-2008 04:23:

would now be an inappropriate time to say that i want to go?

who's down to go with?

i personally haven't been to WH but i'm sure like any other place it has its good moments and its bad.

Now this makes good sense. Your personal story with regard to entrance sounds more like what I would have expected from you two, as it's not of your nature to be belligerent at the door of a club. The bouncers should have been more respectful to possible patrons, or at least explained that nobody is getting in because it's packed/too late. It doesn't sound like they were keeping you or Steven personally out as a result of your appearance or behavior, more that they closed the venue to new entrants.

I can certainly understand your frustration with this, and feel for you in that respect. Solely as someone who was reading TA though, it sounded like Steven was saying that you guys were kept out for looking drunk or wearing sneakers. This doesn't seem to have been the case for your two. Marcello's comment lends to the stance that it's not just me thinking that he was alluding to this.

As to those who were rejected on account of appearance, as none of us at Core, nor you, nor Steven, were there to witness it, it's hard to get a handle on exactly why this happened. This is not to say that anyone was rightfully or wrongfully denied entrance, I just don't think hearsay is really appropriate at this (or any) point.

I'd say there were rude allegations made on both parts. Both SSU and Core have supported eachother in several past events (the evidence is in the flyers). Either way, this whole argument has absolutely derailed our event thread. The past 2 pages has been about how another party (not this Judge Jules/CL/Yahel party) was potentially mishandled by bouncers. That would be like me posting about issues people had w/ Gui Boratto @ Studio B in your Fanciulli post. It falls under the time/place category imo.

That said, I think we all respect what's trying to be done at Webster Hall on an aggregate basis. Better bookings, renovations, and fun parties. There will be kinks along the way, but as always we will do our best to make sure that friends of TA and Core taken care of as well as possible.

Isn't there a party this saturday or something?

hahaha...ironically, this IS the right place! lol

We'd be glad to put you on our list, which is free before 11 (if you're over 21), and $25 thereafter. Email [email protected] and we'll get you on there.

Posted by ownymcown on Apr-17-2008 04:30:

A lot of you forget the bullshit factor of bouncers in general. There very well may have been people with sneakers inside, that wouldn't stop bouncers from saying "sorry, you got sneakers" and kicking you off the line. Especially the ones at web lol.

Exactly Frank, You've hit the nail on the head..And you are also correct about Studio B and that is why I have put together my own security company...Everything at Studio B will be under my control..We will have my very own, doormen, coat check, floor managers and cashiers..Everything that goes on in that club in the events we have up and coming will be totally under my control..

The issues I heard had nothing to do with the security. No disrespect, but PLEASE, can we keep this thread on topic!!!
