Wowzer.

o_O

I'm a bit surprised at him going to Inter. Inter doesn't get any closer to being Italian, but at least they're a lil more European now

Worries me the amount of money english teams are willing to spend on average players. It could very well blow up in their face sooner or later.

crazier money was 5million from blackburn for barry ferguson, who got a nosebleed when he got south of cumbria

I agree barry ferguson is a cock.

Just saying tho, rangers refused to pay an extra 1/2 million for this guy 2 years ago when they had a 2.5 million bid rejected. What has he done in that period of time to more than triple his valuation.

Fuck all as far as I can see.

I think the smaller EPL teams should beware, we can all see what happened to the italian league after the big wages and transfer fees that they paid throughout the 90's.

Think toulouse have won a watch with this transfer.

Mista to Deportivo La Corua. Before you ask "who cares?", note that he was La Liga's top scorer in the 2003/2004 season.

Sorry but he was Ronaldo (could be national top scorer).

Depor doesn't needs Mista, but he arrives totally free (Taborda, Riki, Bodipo, Adrin Lpez...). Attention with Adrin Lpez. Absolutely outstanding. I hope it will be his year.

My bad. I forgot to note that he was the top scoring Spanish player that season.

Deco joins chelski for 7.9million pounds. Lampard expected to goto Inter now to Mourinho. Hopefully anyway, the less of that annoying cockney **** we have to see, the better.

Barcelona can get Arshavin if Messi joins Zenit and they pay 20 million EUR to Zenit

Daniel De Ridder (NL U21 ex) Is released by birmingham because flair players & Alex Mcleish don't mix. Expected to sign for Wigan under his old bham manager Steve Bruce

You've misunderstood if you're referring to the Goal.com article. Zenit have said that they're willing to give up Arshavin and 20 million for Messi, not for Barcelona to pay 20 million on top of transferring Messi. Funny nonetheless.

Source: Link.

Edit: Good riddance Deco. The exodus begins!

He's just really excited about the move.

Everybody's got a price and the billion euro man has it. Robinho is next on the list.

Ben Arfa joins Marseille from Lyon for 11 million. Nice little tug-of-war they had going there for a couple of days.

Newcastle United sign Jonas Guttierez from Real Mallorca for an as yet undisclosed fee.

Great deal imo, he exudes pace and skill and should provide good ammunition for Owen, Martins, Viduka & whoever they have upfront. Great work ethic & sad for Mallorca that they're losing him, probably Dani Guiza and i'd guess Arango too would be tempted.

thankfully ac milan have ended interest in adebayor.

Wouldn't want a player like him anywhere near the milan team.

especially not for arsenals scandelous 35.8m asking price

it'd take a lot of money to make anyone want to be a scouser

I don't even understand why his stock has gone up so much. The service he was receiving last season was stellar, and barring a few, the amount of goals he scored had little to do with his skills as a finisher. But it's his attitude, especially with the part he played in the threatened strike by the Togolese team in World Cup 2006, which bothers me the most. I'm sad he won't be going to Milan because I watch Italian football the least.

In a team that boasts Javier Mascherano and Xabi Alonso in the central defensive midfield role, I'm curious to know why Liverpool would pay more than 15 million for Gareth Barry. The English market is inflated beyond belief.
