Ok these reviews are not saying much at all. Anyone care to actually describe the music, mixing, track selection, flow of things etc..?
I didn't go because 1) I'm a not a fan of Deadmau5 2)I knew the place was gonna be packed up the ying-yang, and 3) Saving myself for Howells tonight. But I am interested nonetheless to hear how Joel's set was.
Anyone?

Put these 2 into a ring or give them something to throw at each other

Ok, So I don't know for sure but I was told both She and her boyfriend were up in the booth at the same time I was up there with Joel, Nothing was said to him and she had plenty of time to voice what she says she would have said. Behind a computer you're all big and tough but once you get face to face the story changes doesn't it.

I personally think that DeadMau5 delivered a solid set and I m confident that he will be re-booked again. His set @ Stereo sounded completely differnt than the set I uploaded on TA. Thecrowd seemed to be really into it and everyone around me was talking on how good Deadmau5 is.

Jeff Fontaine was really really amazing. It was the first time I am already a big fan.

He will definitely be booked again, the guys at Stereo were practically begging him to come back.

I really like Deadmau5's music and was really suprised to see so many people who don't like it here; I kinda was debating on not going since you guys really were convinced he was bad. But then again I had bought my ticket 1 week earlier and was pretty serious about going !!

Got in the line at 3:45 and entered at 4:10; anyways MAUS set was intense and very good. When Deadmau5 took control of the DJM800 everyone yelled out JOEL JOEL JOEL !!! But some were like << who is the guy? >> I'm like it's Deadmau5; never saw him without the mouse head? They're like << oh no! damn he's cool! >>

Just like Tiesto, the guy gets famous and everyone starts hating on him, It's jealousy. They didn't have what it takes so they hate on those that blow up instantly.

Joel seemed kinda nervous when taking the controls of Stereo but quickly got confortable!

I'll find out about that touch screen for ya, And come on... wouldn't you be nervous getting behind the Beast for the first time!? I was nervous just standing in the booth :S

haha ommfg the girl with the deadmau5 tattoo must be insaneee. that was before he started playing though, or shortly after, what happened during the set MUst have changed her mind. I guess somebody's getting laser tattoo removal this week :O!

That girl was me. And I have Absolutely NO intention of having Laser removal done. In my opinion the man is a musical genius, I'm proud to promote his sound by having his Mau5 tattooed on me.

Oh... And btw Stereohead, Maybe he did stop posting but I don't think it was because he realized that what you were saying was true. It was most likely because he realized that fighting with some airhead wasn't worth the little time he does have between sleep and work. So you don't like his music, big deal, you're entitled to your opinion just like I am mine, but don't go around trying to make others opinions based on yours. Humans are followers, If they hear that someone is a bad musician they're most likely not going to find out for themselves, they'll just agree so they "look cool"

As for Joel being a prick, I can tell you he is definitely not nearly as bad as you've made him out to look, Him saying What crawled up your snatch and died is just like the next person saying who pissed in your cornflakes. It's juast like saying What the hell is your problem. I think that maybe something did crawl up there and die if you got so offended over that. Grow up, my 4 year old is more mature than you're being!

Bahaha, word play fascinates the hell out of me. In the original thread plus this one the use of the word 'snatch' paints vivid pictures to me. I'm a PERVERT! lol No offence to anyone, but I can't not erase the thoughts of somebody having crabs or pubic lice because of these threads.

Maybe she does have crabs, who knows?? She sure as hell has the attitude of a crab.

any track IDs tia (oneeleven)? since you said he had a tight track selection, i'd love to know what tracks you thought were tight

Why so you have something else to give your "opinion" about? No thanks Erika. I have heard enough of these opinions of yours to last me the rest of my life. Frankly... I am too scared of you.

I am getting sick and bored of all the useless posts some TAs are posting..If I remember correctly, this forum and website is meant to discuss music. Stop trying to be tough and discuss music please!!!!

The touch screen is a Lemur by jazzmutant; and the orange buttons with lots of squares is a monome but i don't know the company that makes it!!

But tell me wich person were you ? one of these two in the booth?

I was the guy on the top right! with the cap; remember me ?

it's not the famous aspect, it's that some..actually many on here are questioning whether or not he's deserving of his popularity, just like they did with Tiesto. Deadrant5 just adds fuel to the disdain by being defensive, when he's just better off letting that stuff roll off him, or at least choose his words more carefully before hitting the Submit Reply button.

Personally I saw him spin twice and it was not up to my expectations at all, imo. In all fairness to him, that was about six months ago.
