Even with comped entry I am glad I didn't go this year. I'd imagine if I was listening to a set like that even at home I prob would have turned it off. Don't get me wrong...I don't hate him or anything but I don't think he has the potential of ever being my favorite DJ.

Well you made a good choice of not going then Never understood these types of posts.

WAAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

This party was bullshit cuz he couldn't read my mind and play the exact 30 tracks I wanted to hear! In the exact order! GOD HE SUCKS!

It's called having an opinion.

So everyone stfu and respect them

I see where she is coming from. Armin takes too long to build up a set and that's why he won't ever be my fav. I'll still go to party cuz I love trance and he does play tunes I prob wouldn't get to hear live.

They are just few and far between when he's in the proggy phase.

I wish I could have heard Heatbeat - Nebula (L) itttttttt!!!

It was great to hear 4ever & Body of Teksha *live*

I'm really lazy lately but yeah. Highlight of my night was Alex & Gerard singing [AND HITTING THE NOTES] to In & Out of Love. I almost pee pee'd in my pants with laughter.

Yes.... all that practicing paid off for In and Out of Love haha!

Good times, good times... I am just uploading my vids now... and it isn't So Strong .

Link to So Strong (not mine): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc6QI-tdvfY

Link to my video of the ID after Shana/Before 4Ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCGwfREFM5k

What armin played sort of sounds like So Strong - Inpetto Dub, but I don't think it is... Ayudame!!! And no.. the guy on someone's shoulders is not my friend... just random interference.

Mister,

you are getting me mega confused here. Are you sure that was right after Shana?? 100% positive? I am pretty sure I heard "So Strong" because Matt was near me and even asked what it was. I remember cuz he was like 'this sounds so old school...' and i was like yeeeah that's why I love this track blah blah.

Ope. Better send him an angry email. His assistant can read it to him out loud while he counts his money.

+1 Those were some damn good shows . The September '06 party was the last I've seen him

The pics look great. Hopefully they keep finding better and better outdoor venues in coming years.

few wrongs and few rights there.

One thing that was right is Armins last hour was > hours 1-3. It was the same formula last year.

Wrong - "He's a producer and DJ Pin Up. Nothing more." That is the worst thing I have ever heard. Armin is in no way, shape, or form a better producer than he is a dj. He only makes good tracks if it's with the help of some other trance producer.

LMFAO! Glad u got to hang out with us at the end. Very entertaining. My fav quote from u when we were guessing Armins Encore.. "He's going to play his remix of Juvenile - Back that ass up!"

Posted by EnigmaT on Jul-08-2008 04:42:

This is how it works

If you listen to trance music everyday, follow the scene very closely, go to every electronic music event almost every weekend, and/or spin or produce trance music then ARMIN SUCKED!! He spun the top 30 most overplayed trance songs in the scene, with the exception of 5 or 6 newer songs.

If you don't follow the scene very closely, listen to trance less than 10 hours a week, only go out to the big shows, have the same CD on repeat in your car, and get excited when Deadmau5 - Not Exactly gets played, then ARMIN WAS AMAZING!!!

The party itself was great. Much better than last year. Probably the most fun I've ever had at an outdoor event in NY (except for Tobacco Warehouse). Much more fun than any of the PVD shows in Central Park.
