If tickets are on a credit card you may be abble to get a refund from your credit card company! I really think Beb & Tracklive who owns Wanticket, are making a huge mistake by not accomodating the people who wants a refund!
Hopefully the word of mouth will go aroung and things will change! If not, I don't care who they bring to Resolution (Tiesto, Armin, Guetta, etc...) presale tickets will suffer!

I feel bad for people who already bought a ticket. Unbelievable what the parties have become in this city. The Scene is really dying and the promoters are even worse. Bring back 514.

millenium is a complex with club millenium and mp3 afterhours so i'm assuming we know where the party's being held
mark knight still isn't confirmed on sensation's website ... if the tickets go cheaper i might still come just for his set and then scoot to red lite.. altho . lamouche is bringing angel moraes n derrick may

hahahaha oh man i swear i laughed at least 15min when i heard this event was moved to millenium. This is getting pathitic. I mean it's as if Millenium was the new hot spot in town. They get ferry, pvd, and how angello ingrosso, etc. Thats just wrong. These djs dont deserve that kind of place. Its not made to accomodate these kinds of events (i know many ppl will dissagree but wtv). It doenst have the sound, nor the lights, nor the crowd! I think just not having a sensation montreal period would have been much better than having one at millenium. Man i dont know what bal en blanc was thinking on this 1. Looking at the situation i guess that the event was moved for the same reasons as pvd, insufficient ticket sales. No shit, there are 8000 ppl going to see tiesto the day before, what were you expecting. I lost all credibility towards promotion compagnies in montreal, they tend to really rip us off lately, the only ones that still seem trustworthy, well not seem they are, are the BLENDED boys, can always count on these guys. As of the other ppl and businesses in the edm industry...well their couple of last event spoke for themselves. I dont know whats making the last couple of events be so bad and unsuccessful, just gives me the feeling that the entire edm scene is falling apart. I mean, PvD, worlds "#1 dj" is being moved from metropolis to millenium because "not enough ppl are willing to see him"??!?!?! wtf! YO this guy does random shows in the middle of the sahara desert and gets like 50000 ppl to come, and in montreal, not event 2000?? euhh...i dont know about you but somethings wrong. Its really sad, events getting postponed, moved to smaller venues or simply cancelled, really give me the feeling that the scene is falling apart, i mean it cant be a good sign.
I just hope that tiesto ends up coming, and taht he actually plays his 3h set (they already cut him by an hour). I wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt come or if he plays like 1h30. I hope some drastic changes are going to be made and that the scene is gonna get back on its feet, cuz right now the situation stinks imo.
Good thing they give refunds for the sensation mtl tickets!!
I wonder how many ppl are gonna actually end up going, ill be eagerly awaiting the reviews, if any of u ppl even end up going, for those who do, make the most of it and have fun
I WANT STEREO BACK!!!
see whats happening to this city without stereo???
We need stereo to revive our scene, hopefully we'll get it back soon!!

if i'm not mistaken that's blended organizing/promoting the event
bias

Millennium is still going to be packed no matter what... They get money no matter what, they don't give a shit about a bunch of people crying on a forum.

Business is business in the end...

I still hate them for it

The scene has been dead in Montreal ever since preach stopped playing at Aria. I am not surprised the EDM scnene here can only attract 2000 people for a good dj. Oh well at least we have memories.

you are mistaken. Bal en Blanc and Tracklive are the event producer. We are promoting it via our database and clientele but we have no power on most of the major decision

tracklive is not part of it. look at the flyer.

your logo is on the flyer. you are the promoters.

Be honest...

'cause now it looks as if when it goes well it's you, and when it doesn't it's not you...

Quite a team.

You guys have lots of great events, sometimes it doesn't go well, it's only normal.

bal en blanc counts on you everytime, now it doesn't go well so they are to blame ? I would take this as a team just out of respect.

if you were Bal en Blanc, you would like for your promoters to dissociate from you when the going gets rough ? I'd wish the opposite, i'd be needing more help.

Now people are thinking that the scene is going bad...

The power you had was to sell enough tickets by promoting.

Challenge failed.

It seems like once again you don't know what you are talking about.

If the party is not happening in forum pepsi its not BPM conference (own by one of tracklive partners) or bal en blanc's fault.

As you can see the event has been moved not because of lack of sales or the capacity of bal en blanc to book decent artist or do a nice set-up. But directly to the mistake made by the forum pepsi staff.

So by moving it to millennium instead of just cancelling the party for a reason totally out of both producers control they found another venue and they kept the event alive.

And let it be known that from our ends that so called challenge was a succes but unfortunatly the Forum pepsi staff let us down

Also it was said that blended was or ORGANIZING THE EVENT wich is false we do not invest money in the event or have a power of decision what so ever. We are associated promoters and web partners wich means we sell tickets and advertise they're event with our network

so before trying to call us off in public just to bitch get your fact straight!

now go back to promote your own event and leave this thread alone if you don't have anything constructive to say!

plz

Hmmmm..

As we can see this time doesnt look as it's BeB ( Beb and Produkt and somehow associated for events production ) fault, as it was for PVD and Ferry.

But i Still wonder why they havent thought about transfering it to Metropolis or whatever other venue if Metropolis was already busy. We are Montreal, we do have more then a couple of spots to host that kind of party.. don't get me wrong, it really does affect our EDM scene by seeing these bookings in random venues such Millenium..

Also, another super important point is, what about the respect to the DJs.. To set up some of the biggest in this world in the crappyest venue is like making fun of them.. Sad..

Posted by Fran666 on Aug-24-2008 02:30:

To blended:

Exactly my point, never your fault.

Posted by flr666 on Aug-24-2008 04:41:

There has never been a Sensation in North America so I dunno why people are crying....

Millenium can have decent sound (it was fine for PVD but Produkt reinforced it) tho unfortunately the acoustics are not great. Yeah, it is also a pain in the ass to get to.

That said, it's pretty obvious that there are financial considerations in this decision.... someone has to pay all these fucking guys to spin - so if it got moved for whatever reason someone is taking a big hit to provide you guys with a party.

Quite frankly, considering the size of the hall (esp mp3 for Mark Knight) I think it might be worth the cab fare to catch him in such a small venue... Cab fare plus ticket price.... I dunno man...

If it's not worth the cab fare. Circus has a killer line-up. Mark Knight is pretty special tho and I, personally, am torn.

I am sure BeB is gonna be wounded by this but I am equally sure they had no other option...

Mark Knight, Angello & Ingresso.... no doubt it will be SICK & someone has to pay these guys... they don't spin for free...

Dude, have u been to Millenium..They have one of the shitiest sound systems I've expereinced and if they have financial problems, this is not our problem, this have been done twice and this is why people are complaining. Next time u guys want to organize a party, don't wait until everyone buys their tickets, this is really frustrating and please stop giving us BS about providing parties, look at Tribe, it is a small club and they book big names every month.

Posted by flr666 on Aug-24-2008 07:17:

I guess you missed PVD....

Sound quality is something you can rent. Grow up dude.

I dunno if you have ever been to Parc Jean Drapeau in midwinter.... I have - it's quiet.

I also helped set up the sound system for Motley Crue this summer & it was the best sound I have heard in my life. It's called "sound reinforcement". But someone had to rent something to do it.

Will BeB do "sound reinforcement"?

Well duh!

Stop being pathetic & running away from this thing. It's gonna be sick. One half of the Swedish House Mafia & Mark Knight... SICK!

What time are the artists on? That's what I would like to know....

And as Francis said, You are the Promoters so Promote! I disagree with his approach but THAT was a valid point.
