Catwoman Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie, who gave birth to twins with partner Brad Pitt earlier this month, is reportedly being lined up to star as Catwoman in a new movie.
(BANG) -
Angelina Jolie is reportedly being lined up to star as Catwoman in a new movie.
The 33-year-old actress - who gave birth to twins, the fifth and sixth children she raises with partner Brad Pitt, earlier this month - is said to be in final negotiations with studio bosses to play the feline villain who first appeared in the Batman comics.
Angelina has already been approved for the role by Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the 'Batman' TV series from 1966 to 1968.
Julie, now 74, said: "Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me she has already made enquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman's one true love.
"She is tremendously popular with women because she's both a heroine and a villainess."
Since the TV series, other actresses to take on the role of Catwoman include Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992 movie 'Batman Returns', while Halle Berry's portrayal of the villain in 2004 film 'Catwoman' was panned by critics worldwide.
Angelina was recently tipped to be starring in 'The Thomas Crown Affair 2' alongside Pierce Brosnan, but has been ordered by bosses to put on 28lbs for the role.

I thought the movie was decent, probably an 8/10, but I was honestly disappointed with the ending.
Someone stated that it was the best ending ever, but the final 'battle' scene was pretty lame...
But Ledger, he definitely made the movie what it was and was perfect for the role! It's a shame that he isn't around for the next one!

WOW It takes the combination of a brilliant actor and brilliant screenplay to make the audience side with (or sympathize with) the villian... I definitely smell an Oscar there My favourite part of the movie: When the two boat-loads of people are in the middle of deciding whether or not to pull their respective detonators- the big black dude (I think from The Green Mile too?) takes it from the cop stating that he is going to do "what should have been done 10 minutes ago" ..... and then throws it out of the window. I actually gasped. I have no idea why that scene affected me so much. As a NON avid fan of action flicks... this puppy was alright |

I'd like to see David Blane try and pull off a magic trick like the 'disappearing pen'. That magic trick will NEVER be topped
lol this movie is getting a 9.3 rating on IMBD with 200,000 votes. It's the number 1 viewer rated movie of all time!!
It was a great movie, but the best of all time...?
finally went to see that on Friday
while the boyfriendship was not very impressed, I pretty much liked everything about it, especially the dialog - I thought the script was very well written
in terms of characters - without a doubt Joker was played out exceptionally well
good stuff overall, I'd give it a solid 9/10
Glad you finally went to see it!
So Morgan Freeman is in serious condition right now from a car accident. So who's gonna make Batman's gear if he pasts away?
Saw this movie (finally) on Monday.
AWESOME. Absolutely LOVED Heath as the Joker. Phenomenal.
Didnt like the Two-Face plot. Felt kinda ad-hoc to me, like it was just thrown in near the end. Cutting that out woudl have help (IMO) with the comment made by some that the movie dragged too.....

The Dark Knight in IMAX.
This was my first time seeing the movie and I thought it was really good. The IMAX experience was incredible: the sound was the best I've ever heard in a theatre (I can't stress how much it added to the experience) and the screen was amazing--> when the first scene of the movie began (flying over the city) you could hear gasps throughout the audience re: people being so impressed with what they were seeing.
As for the movie itself, I enjoyed it. I feel that the viewer is asked to take in a lot of information (re: storyline) during a short period of time which makes the viewing a tad bit exhausting. Ledger did a great job: he had me laughing a bunch of times and all his little twitches/behavioural abnormalities really added to the character. Bale is a bad-ass, definitely one of my favourite actors. It was nice to see Maggie in a big-budget movie: the girl can act and she's certainly not hard on the eyes.
Best Batman movie ever? Absolutely. One of the best movies ever made in terms of action sequences and wide-screen/panoramic shots? Indeed. One of the best movies ever made period? Nope.
Looking forward to watching this on DVD when we get it.
