Do you seriously think this is going to help?

For groups like Hamas, and the die hards, there is no winning besides Israel no longer being a country. Its religion to them. Its their faith.

For Israel this is their "god given home."

If people are stupid enough to believe in a god or any higher power than of course they will blindly fight for what they think is their divinely gifted land or their divinely gifted goal.

Like I said earlier, this problem wont be solved until the problem no longer exists.

no, it is a UN "given home". and secularity was one of the most important tenents of the mandate.

The point of this war:

"The military campaign as a whole to the extent that it is conducted effectively, will greatly reduce the number of people existing right now who wish to and are capable of harming Israel. On its own terms, that's all it can accomplish, and that's enough. Whether it makes a few people angry in Pakistan is an incalculable-unless, for reasons of your own, you wish to give those who can rent a mob, buy colorful anti-Israel banners, and get themselves on CNN veto power over Israeli policies."

UNs biggest failure.

Unless its intentional anti-semitism on their part...

UN: "Oh those pesky Jews... hrmm where can we put them that will make them hated yet again? They seem to have a lot of love now because of that darn Germany!"

UK: "We have a little strip of desert on the Mediterranean that might work?"

France: "That sounds great, now quickly before these guys get any clout here from sympathetic Europeans sorry about what happened."

UN: "What about the people in that little spec of land?"

UK: "Who cares? They're brown!!"

UN: "Good point! Then again, what about other countries, they might see this as hypocritical, I mean we just got over a war about shoving people out of their homelands and invading other people?"

France: "Don't worry, everyone is still feeling sorry for them... that Germany, they really know how to do a number!"

UN: "Then its agreed, the Jews get the heartland of the Muslim world, and we get rid of the Jews."

UK: "Let the subhumans fight it out amongst themselves!"

France: "Honkahahaha"

US: "Sup? Oh Jews, yea we hate them too, alright, we'll help. Can we get that Suez Canal while we are at it?"

UK: "Talk about that later..."

if you want to look at it that way it's actually YOUR country's biggest failure (after losing the American colonies of course) for giving up Palestine to the UN for partition.

why don't you place any blame on the Nazis for leaving a half million Jews in Europe with no home to go back to after their miserable failed genocide experiment and world domination follies?

it seems to me your useless adolecent cynicism and complete ignorance of history coupled with your sick, elitist attitude towards any human life other than your own in every attempt to forego rationale thats not either "cool" or of necessity...do you ever think for a second maybe YOU are what's wrong with the world? you should.

Did I not acknowledge that? I thought I did.

The vast amounts of anti-semitism that still affected the populations of France and the UK, even after the horrors of the holocaust were revealed, along with a strong Zionist movement in France headed by Jews that felt it was their holy duty to establish a Jewish state in Palestine that made the creation of Israel possible.

Granted the UK did fight for keeping the land of Palestine as one of their colonies, but this was more a desperate attempt at the now rapidly falling empire than anything to do with having or not having a Jewish state. Zionist Jews already in Palestine were waging guerilla warfare against the UK presence and instead of looking bad fighting the "poor, mistreated" jews they handed the land to the UN and let them deal with it.

Of course the backing of the US was obviously the keystone to their continued survival, but originally it was a fairly small group of zionist Jews in the US that put a lot of backing behind it.

Really the creation of Israel can be seen as a sick marriage between anti-Semitic groups/governments in Europe and the displaced and now radicalized zionist movement that formed before World War II and then gained popular support after it.

Blaming the Nazis, that is true. If it weren't for them there would be no Israel. The zionist movements in Europe would have stayed on the fringe and more than likely Palestine would be a mixed state or in some other better situation than it is in now.

Hitler was the best thing to happen to the zionist movement. Stalin helped, but Hitler really was the one to bring the radical zionist movement around to the mainstream Jewish communities.

My views are not adolescent, they are blunt. These two groups will NEVER stop fighting. They have a blind and unforgiving faith that God has chosen them for this land. This is particularly sad of the Palestinian movement which was much more Red before the 1980s when Radical Islam picked up the cause and it moved away from a nationalistic/secular movement and towards the current religious movement. If they had stayed a nationalistic movement I think they would receive a lot more credence from the world community.

900,000 people under missile attacks.
Some of you refuse to understand that IDF's intention is to hit Hamas terorrists and facilities, while Hamas is deliberatly launching missiles at civillians population.

and you seem to be very clueless about the situation inside Gaza and the shit they have been going through because of your governments actions.
Do you really believe at the end of this illegal war the people in Gaza will just forget all of this?you think those children who lost their home will grow up to love their neighbour Israel?THINK AGAIN.

i agree its unfortunate that palestinian citizens are killed, but its inevitable. If you tell me, that when IDF makes phone calls to the houses (that are used as Qassam storages) asking them to evacuate perior to the attack is crude and unhuman then i dont know what to say..

Stop trying to make IDF look like the ultimate saviours because it wont work.If they really cared about any of those people they didnt have to go to this war in the first place.

Like I said, you guys ain't seen nothing yet. You have no idea of what Israel is capable of right now. Israel has a very strong army commander, and an even stronger secretary of defense. Its technology is light years ahead of any country in the Middle East. If Hezbollah opens fire from the north on Israel, then the IDF will completely dismantle the organization this time around, and may even go after the country that's ultimately behind all this mess - Iran.
So if you don't want to see thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people in Lebanon and Iran die I suggest you pressure Hamas to SURRENDER right now.

OK re-read that again, now go back to 2003, now look at 2008.

Technology does not win wars. It can help, but it doesn't mean a win.

What truth? Oh, YOUR truth. News flash, Gaza is 139 square miles with 1.4 million people residing within. That's over 7000 people per square mile. WTF do you expect? Them going out into an open field to be offed by an Israeli missile or sniper just to prove they don't use civilians as shields? What a stupid ass argument. As if civilians and the battlefield can somehow be disconnected. Are you that dull to actually think there is such thing as a war without innocent deaths? I'm waiting for your next argument, which is probably going to be along the lines of calling civilian deaths "collateral damage" as if it's somehow excusable...

Yea, that piece of Zionist propaganda, I must say, is expertly crafted for the dull minded followers of extremist right wing Zionism. Never mind the fact Palestinians fight for the very same reason Israelis fight...

not at all man I have a deep sympathy for any human casualty, #15 I was being sarcastic, in that he is probably gonna spend his whole life with a personal vendetta against Israel-taking up arms with Hamas being a very realistic possibility

with the #20 comment-yeah, I was just being a smartass, trying to make light out of the situation.

And here we have an official Hamas spokesperson right here on Al Jazeera, I mean Tranceaddict. Only terrorists refer to Israel as extremist right wing zionists. Krypton is offering his own propoganda as always, all the while showing he knows nothing about army combat versus gerilla warfare.

BTW, reports coming from Al Jazeera now indicate that Krypton moved from FL to TX b/c he's such a fat bastard that he felt more at home in America's capital of obesity.

Posted by Damerchi on Jan-04-2009 12:49:

Al Jazeera English is not that bad mate, although their weak point is they do a tad bit too many inside specials regarding islam. They have a vast array of reporters who joined them from BBC and CNN, Sir David Frost one of them, who conducted the interviews with Nixon after watergate. He is an esteemed journalist and he wouldn't join a gig that he felt compromised his journalistic integrity.

would watch that shit over FOX any day of the week.

BBC and Al-Jazeera Eng are a winning combo for me

The shit Gaza's citizens are going through is a direct cause of Hamas' acts against israel. Hamas seems to not have interests to all plestinian people but only for itself. they attack, we attack back. they hide behind citizens, they die and citizens become victims also. someone here (of your side) said that there are civilian casualties in war, i agree. and as i stated before: IDF is trying to MINIMIZE civilian casualties while Hamas is trying to MAXIMIZE it. its the truth, deal with it. our goal is to hit Hamas and NOT the palestinian people.

How the hell can you say that if we cared about these people we wouldnt have gone to this war when OUR PEOPLE are under a daily ATTACK of missiles?? WE CARE FOR OUR PEOPLE FIRST.
If Hamas cared for the palestinians, they wouldnt have started launching dozens of missiles every day. but we're not gonna argue bout that.

missiles arent going to solve the problem (of the palestinians) too, dont be a hypocrite. it might serve hamas' wish to eliminate us all.

you dont expect me to come and give flowers to someone whose will is to kill me and my people.

Good night.
