Pages (8): « 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 [8]
I've got some videos of various bombs he dropped that I'll post once once I get back home.
I remember hearing Slam - Hot Knives, a new Dusty kid jam, and a couple of lovebirds tunes. I will prob remember more later on.
I remember hearing Umek - 2nd to None sometime around 4 am
I think these are all the ones I took.
I was actually dissapointed in this set. Ive heard him spin better.. His set at Pawn shop 2 years ago was much much better & memorable IMO. I almost got into a scuffle with 2 different guys as they both tried to kiss me. fn freaks

Danny's set was the perfect start to my WMC week. It was even better because I was having serious hotel issues (fixed by Thursday morning) and I was in a bit of a funk. I showed up around midnight and Howells was already into his techno groove. I would have liked to hear some of his deeper stuff from the beginning of the evening, but I digress. I met up with several friends as soon as I walked in the door and I met a bunch of the TAs shortly afterward.
Around 3:00 Danny was playing really dark, druggy music and you could see the sour faces on those who had not experienced this type of late-night groove before. A lot of Howells n00bs left by 4:00. Fuck em! It was truly an awesome event.
Natalie and I left at 4:20 (ironically) so we could get our luggage from the hostel we ended up having to pay for since our original condo wasn't ready. We walked back to BED at 5:00 as the crowd was exiting so we could take up temporary space until the morning. Thanks to treefermadness for his hospitality til about 9am. That's when I finally got the call saying my condo was available.
trainspots:
Matthias Meyer - Salt City (Nick Curly Remix)
Guy Noir - Delusion (Argy Big Room Dub)
Dusty Kid - Lynchesque
Slam - Hot Knives
Chymera - Sumatra (Deetron Remix)
Simon Flower - Phosphenes
Flora Cruz - Let The Sun Shine Out (Jerome Sydenham's Vocal Dub Mix) < Awesome bomb at the end of the night
+ a couple of lovebirds tunes
danny howells was great for the time i got to see him... ended up getting there 3 and a half hours late, cause we stayed till almost the end of the dj mag pool party, and then my gf wanted to go back to the hotel and change and she took almost 3 frickin hours! it was almost 2 by the time we got there, and after only being there till about 4am, my gf was "tired" and wanted to leave! so i only saw like 2 hours of his 7 hour set!
at least he was droppin some wicked beats while i was there and i got another pic with zabiela (after getting one with him @ dj mag)! still, i wish i had've left dj mag earlier... it was a good party but not GREAT. on a side note, maybe it was cause we didn't actually have a bed, but i was dissappointed in the club. i expected it to be somehow cooler. it reminded me of a club back home, only with some "vip" beds against the walls :/
