well hunnybunny , i didnt say it was a bad party. i only said there are better partys.

A TA member from Sweden (DJ_Laszlo) went to Dance Valley and Sensation this year. And he said this about it:

quote:
I think the tickets this year were 70...but it was worth every penny...it was the most amazing party I ever been at...beats sensation by miles...sensation is all about sound and vision...can't beat the atmosphere on dance valley...

I have nothing to add to this quote from foreign objectively TA member from Sweden, where are no big partys every weekend.

P.S Proxi why is your website offline? I am very curious how mexico is going!

Vondelpark is just a public garden in Amsterdam.
I don't know where stadsoelen is.. :/

Posted by Miss Proximus on Feb-04-2004 20:13:

the Vondelpark youthhostel is very pretty and has a great ambiance, however, if you go to Stadsdoelen they might be able to help you with getting a bunk in a ship in the harbour next to the Central station. It's small but a very cool experience

other suggestions..not really. Youthhostels in Adam are expensive and always booked up rather quick. Maybe a bench in the Vondelpark? or in a sleepingbag next to one of the museums

If you like progressive, you can travel to The Hague (45 minutes by train) for Sander Kleinenberg, Stef Vrolijk and Deep Dish.

exuse me for spamming your forums, but i'm coming over to holland in about few weeks and i need some info.
i'm coming over to amsterdam on the 7th of july and staying there for about 3 or 4 days until i go to belgium (antwerpen).
my mission is amsterdam is to find as many trance cds (singles really mostly) as possible. stuff that i can't find in finland. anyway i saw the list of recordstores and have seen some other lists too, but i'm wondering what stores are the best/cheapest for trance cd singles.
and then i would like to know where in amsterdam can i get the best kebab! i'm a huge friend of kebab and would surely like to taste dutch kebab. are there any noteworthy places especially?
and the info about cofeeshops and clubs i got wel thanks to the list! i was thinking of maybe going clubbing here!
is there anything in particular i should know about that place? how is the dresscode etc.?
anyway i hope you can shed some light on these matters, so i can have a more pleasant trip! thank you!

i think i might be able to answer a question or two...
good coffee shops are the green house ones, they are scattered all over the center. also there's a coffee shop called dolphin, very nice inside but doesnt sell the goods yet, they lost their license. for CDs, i would suggest fame, it's just off the Dam on Kalvestraat, they have a big selection. for records, midtown or groove connection (addresses are in the other thread).

clubs, all of them are nice depending on what you want to hear and dance to. kingdom on saturdays of course has XL nights, lots of fun, 15 euro cover, expensive drinks, expensive club. escape is also good, but i think they mostly have house nights, not sure. 10 euro, cheaper drinks. melkweg is good. saturdays is dnb i think. to get in, you pay the cover and also a membership fee (2-3 euro). very nice place. sinners on thursdays plays hip hop, but its really fun. one of the bouncers there (dark chick) is a total bitch. 5 euro before 1am, 10 after.
one thing you should know about clubs here, is that they usually do not allow large groups of guys in, so if you are coming with bunch of guys, get some girls to come with you or split up.

dont forget to visit the red light district and do all the other tourist stuff. make sure to visit teasers for a few drinks, its between the central station and the dam but most importantly, have fun

http://party.snt.utwente.nl/flock/S...TYID/23447.html

THANKS!
