Will be out there in full swing. At Wet Republic it should be pretty good. You'll get a chance to chat with LBL since you can walk behind the dj booth and all.

Last year I got there super early and there where no lines.

Never had line issues for Nocturnal. There are 2 ways to get in. I always pick the shortest.

To bad Evol Intent Goes on so early but theres still TC a lil later but then in the main room get to top it all of with a 3 hour set from ferry cant wait.

Posted by Nerologic on Sep-26-2009 19:26:

I should be getting to Nocturnal at around 1130pm.

Its the worst time to get there, but the earliest i can make it.

How bad is the traffic that late? Its usually pretty shitty right?

I was planning on parking about a mile or 2 away from the venue and just riding my bike there through the traffic?

Cool on time sheet. Heading out after dark. It's super hot out today. Drink PLENTY of h2o.

Here is a map of the setup:

Bookmarked it on my iPhone and moved it to the top, thanks! I also saved the map and have Rukes set times...man, I've never felt so prepared!

just checked into my hotel room. freaking HOT out here. wooo. nap soon, then party down.

Posted by Tosh on Sep-27-2009 00:18:

Oh ya!!!! About to head out!
Went to the mall and could hear trance!!! RAVERS EVERYWHERE!!!!

Nocturnal Initial impressions:

Main VIP bar is staffed with only 4 bartenders for something like a thousand people...expect to wait 15+ minutes for a drink...FAIL. Last year, waitresses came over to all the tables taking drink orders, was much better managed.

VIP vodka is the unpronounceable Russian brand that nearly put me in the hospital at EDC, but the regular bars serve Stoli vodka...guess it's Heneken for me tonight...FAIL

But, there's another VIP bar to the right of the Labrynth stage...no lines at all, I don't think anyone knows it's there! FTW

Stopped by the VIP merchandise booth and found a great Nocturnal shirt printed on American Apparel (my favorite brand), but only the women's shirts are printed on American Apparel, guys shirts are printed on cheapo Anvil tees, oh well, no Nocturnal shirt for me...FAIL

Labrynth is the biggest stage at Nocturnal, it's the whole football field, about 3/4 the size of EDC. Rank 1 is tearing it up...the floor is PACKED...FTW!

That was a great show!
Rank 1 blew it out of the water!!!!
Ferry came back to steal the show again! not a lot but some great live vocals....
Filo and Peri were everything and more than i could have expected!!!!
J'00'F and C lawrence both played great sets, just dont now why promoters still mix the deep hard with the light fluffy! I mean i do! But it sucks..... it breaks the flow of the night!!!!
Line getting in was great, only a matter of minutes and i was in. out was another story! FAIL

I felt that line management was a lot better at Nocturnal than at all the events in or around the LA Sports Arena (EDC, MM, TAO, etc.). There were a ton of barricades to direct the flow of people and prevent line cutting, which is out of control at the LA events.

I loved how much room there was to dance. The air temperature was good too. It even got a little chilly toward the end of the night.

Why are the bathrooms inside the tents about 15 degrees hotter than the outside air temperature? :P

Rank-1, CL, and Ferry did well. It was nice to hear a lot of Ferry's older (but still awesome) songs. The crowd was jumping and going nuts for "Rock Your Body Rock."

This was my first Nocturnal and I'll definitely go back next year.

Good job on the production of the event this time around. Lots of room, no sauna tents, cheap water and food. I know a lot of people dont like the NOS center, but i always have a good time. There were bleachers this time around and at the top was a counter to roll blunts in hahaha. Laidback luke killed it as usual. House tent was super crackin.
