so edm artists seek out remixers for their tracks and it's not the other way around? that's definitely news to me. thanks for the info though and i guess i stand a little corrected lol

but i still think it's retarded for people who are into edm to bash rappers for taking other songs' melodies.

It goes both ways, but more often than not the label will get remixers or the original artist will ask someone to remix (usually their buddies).

And yes, sampling is everywhere

yeah, but what kanye does is not called sampling, it is called plagiarizing lyrics and rapping over whole songs that are exactly the same. I don't know who is a bigger hack, him or will i am.
