This whole Tiger ordeal raises some good moral questions such as "where do you draw the line between athlete and person?"....or "where do you draw the line between art and the artist who created it?"

Do fans of Tiger as an athlete change their opinion of him because of the fact that he is being revealed as one of the biggest players in sports?

I am actually even more interested now to see if he can maintain his exceptional level of competitiveness in light of these problems.

my issue isn't with Tiger but its with those that endorse him. I could care less what he does in his personal life however; I do have issues with companies that endorse him and endorse what he does in his personal life. In every endorsement contract there is a morality clause which allows the companies to walk away from the contacts. I have issue with these companies not doing this when clearly they would do it if it was pretty much any other athlete.

I think the first couple tournaments will be difficult but once he wins a tournament all will be forgotten and people will cheer for him and love him again

Yup.

Unless the man's ur personal hero or you've made him some kind of role model for urself, dont see why one worries overly abt his personal life when ur watching him professionally.

U like him as a golfer. He's a legendary golfer. If he's a shitty husband, well, that dont affect the fact that he's a legendary golfer... which presumably is the reason one would wanna watch him play, neh

Yea, unfortunately ill bet that never happens... since our society is so biased when it comes to its view on abusive spouses depending on the gender of the abuser and the victim.

Meh. The only person in the absolute undeniable wrong here is Tiger himself. He is married, he's the party in a committed relationship... his "hoes" were not. AFAIC he bears the entire onus of these inappropriate relations.

He absolutely and indisputably owed it to his wife not to cheat on her. These girls didnt owe it to anybody not to sleep with a married man -- they never committed or promised anyone never to act as such (though sure it would speak better of their character and moral fiber if they actively chose not to sleep with individuals who are already committed to others -- since invariably it has serious ramifications for the other parties' loved ones).

I feel the onus is on the married party not to break his or her vows. If you break those vows that you swore to your partner to uphold, then you�re in the absolute wrong.

It's all about how big a celeb they are, and how shocking the news was. This was perfect tabloid scenario. Squeaky clean image, lots of ho's.

And here, its a gamble for the girls. Take Tiger's pay off, or go to the media and do the talk show circuit. Personally I'd take Tiger's money and save my self the face time and publicity. Or, haha, take Tiger's money and short sell all the companies he endorses.

So Tiger is taking a break from golf. Surprise, surprise.

I hope he is back for The Masters.

Some sources have suggested tiger has been asked by the PGA to take some time away from golf and this may not be because he wants to.

If Tiger was to come back in January I think it would still be too much of a circus surrounding him. It wouldn't be fair for the other golfers on tour. Instead of the tour suspending him they let him save face by saying he is taking some time off.
