I'll remember Raoul from this party, when he visited Toronto few years ago. Man, shenanigans galore and Raoul had such a good time

Besides that idea, I will make this weekend a Tribute To Raul Trance Set, to dedicate it to him and the love for trance music.
I know a few favorite tracks, but if you know more, let me know,
I will def play them in my set and post it here.

I just heard the horribile news from Brian(Vtec Junkie). It's so sad. I didn't know Raul like many of you. I met him in 2005 at PVD@Space. And every year I went to the conference I always bumped into him one time or another in Space. He was always cordial and respectful from what I remember. I hope his soul is at rest. And my condolences to his loved ones and to the whole FLTA community. May you all be blessed with the strength needed to help you get by. Raul won't be forgotten as I'm sure he will continue to live on in many peoples thoughts and prayers. R.I.P. Raul.
Although I have never met DA... The Love that he has from everyone on these boards is amazing. My deepest condolences to his friends, family and all loved ones....

It is comforting to know that Raul did not hold grudges....thank you Jonsun for telling me that. I really thought he hated me until his last day...but he was a forgiving guy...that makes me feel so much better. He will forever remain in my heart and memory.....I will never forget all those times I hung out with him....it was an every weekend thing....but I always had a blast with him....and those FLTA parties I went to and him playing his lil trance sets lol. And him listening to his laptop whenever house music would play.....and going to see pvd for the first time...he hated the set and left but since he was my ride he slept in his car and waited for me until pvd's set was over....all those little things he did I will forever be in debt....his friends really were everything to him. <3

I went through a similar situation back in 92. I'd like to share the poem that was written on the inside of the in memory of card, in hopes that it will give strength to Raul's many friends and family.

RIP DA...I'm really sad to find this out. Just today a good friend of his told me. Incidentally it was Raul who introduced me to a lot of good peeps when I met him down in Miami one year for WMC. Met on TA, and I gotta say, I am very happy that I got to actually meet him in person. And I'm honored he was always so supportive of me from day one and so passionate about music.
My heart goes out to his family, friends and everyone who got a chance to know him either in person or here on TA...We will miss you!

Truly sad news. I just found out today from somebody's facebook update. Raul was a great guy that was very passionate about his music, particularly PVD. He was always there for the TA meet ups, dinners, and just about any good party in South FL. My condolences to his family and friends. Things like this always happen around the holidays and it's so sad. His legend will live on though.......and I look forward to hearing some of the "In Memory" sets and possible tracks that will pop up.

Wow!!! I'm speechless. I met Raul twice, once when he came down to LA, and the other at WMC back in 2005.
For some reason, 2009 has been a very tragic year, we have lost a lot of good people.

wow that sucks i bumped into him a few times at some parties here in NY, and i know mel was close bc you lived in Florida right? i remember playin online poker with him a few times too. sad news, my condolences go out to his close friends and family.
this kinda makes me feel like goin out with you all and partying in his memory or something. I really like this community, honestly the people on these boards are self-less, funny, have good taste in music and are caring of one another. so its sad to see one of you go. DA was a great guy no doubt about that, so he will deff be missed.

It's sad to see that someone with so much love around him from friends, decides to turn his back and take his own life away.

I can't believe I'm getting this news so late... :-/ it makes me sad that a good friend of mine has passed, and it makes me angry that I didn't see it coming, nor was there anything I could do about it.

I have to chime in. I remember DA, as I knew him from years ago on this forum and from meeting him at trance events in Miami. So sad to hear this news
Haven't had a chance to read through this yet but wow... this is such sad news. DA was one of the most passionate EDM supporters I've ever come across. It was always enjoyable talking about music with him. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
