That's true, but I feel like the league is going to start taking notice more so now that they're deeper in the playoffs. They don't want to look like they endorse or turn a blind eye to that type of behavior.

The Boston Massacre.

Of sorts.

I can't wait for the "Who's your goalie?" chants.

Posted by Rodrico on Apr-30-2011 22:19:

Shame my betting site is screwed up and wont let me bet on boston series. But after 2 close calls last week, ill just let my Cup bets ride and just wait to see if I can hedge for guaranteed money in the finals.

Well, that was quick

Ouch, Washington.

Ouch.

although i'm a caps fan i just remembered all the shit roloson has had to go through to get to this point and i honestly would like to see him win a cup...he's very deserving.

I told Jay, Tampon Bay is the one team I wanted to avoid. I'd take boston, pittsburgh, vancouver over them. Also, I am tonight exorcising the ghosts of a Lecavalier t-shirt my bro got me 4 years ago by burning it.

i can't believe it either.

bye bye boudreau.

Posted by Rodrico on May-04-2011 17:00:

What a complete failure so far by the Caps. Shame too, just like Jay says...bye bye Boudreau. Thank god, I hate that ugly mug.

HBO popularity can't save you if you choke hard twice.

everybody thought i was a fool when i didn't pick any capitals for my playoff pool.

I TOLD THEM
now watch me climb to the top (cept i didn't take tampa either )

Posted by chimera66 on May-05-2011 05:00:

caps failed hardcore but you can't win a cup without a clutch goalie so they better go do something about that or they will be doomed to being stars of the regular season

I think we have 3 good young goaltenders and can only look at odd members of the squad who either weren't good enough (hannan) or didn't play well enough (Backstrom, Semin)

Posted by Renzo on May-05-2011 06:21:

Getting swept is unacceptable.

Sorry, Ian

Fixed.

Even the Pens put up a better fight without Malkin/Crosby.

if you are using 3 goaltenders its because they aren't that good. The caps are gonna get the rebuild treatment this summer along with a new coach and gm. @ epic fails in a row, don't even ask me what is up with Philly.

Yeah I figured they would put up a better fight than this. If its a sweep, ill be shocked.

Posted by Zyklon_Jay on May-05-2011 15:40:

Boston is not letting them come back after last year. Philly is being out coached and outclassed. All these results make me a little sad, because we were one shot away from the next round...and the teams i didn't think we could beat are being beaten by teams i thought we could.

game of inches, sort of like "who's in my mouth".

I think that the problem is that they're 3 rookies and we have nobody to work as an experienced head. Take the 'best' of the 3 and pair him with a good experienced tender and we'd be better off maybe short term at least. Defense wise we need to lose Hannan and one or two but Carlson, Green etc are good. Forward wise we're probably weakest at center with only Backstrom (who didn't show up this playoff series) and Arnott who only came in recently. I do wonder if they'll give BB one more go though, I dunno how patient they are in hockey as opposed to soccer.

Posted by chimera66 on May-06-2011 02:22:

if you paired a rookie with a decent veteran it would be good for the long term too, that will help build his confidence. anyway, i have no doubt the core group of stars on the Caps will win a Cup but clearly not this year and maybe not even next..

which of the 3 do you fancy most? I think Holtby & Neuvirth are probably better than Semeyon, but he's still got a good potential.
