Well, he is the master of manipulating the fearful public.

The Arab party is not really a threat because:
1.They are divided and are fighting each other.
2.They "can't" actually be be ministers anyway because they refuse to take the oath of allegiance to the country.
3.They are not eager to negotiate with any party.

The two state solution "statement" was also very transparent as an election day trick.

But these are politicians i guess, worrying about their careers more than anything.

Seeing his smug face in charge again is terrible, makes me want to sell my citizenship for 1.99$ and immigrate to Murica.

So from this, I see that clearly understand that the leader of your country is a habitual liar, a "master manipulator", has no problem talking complete fabrications to the press and worries about his career more than anything.

Why do you then find it so hard to consider that this person, who is the leader of your country, but more importantly, it's military and clandestine forces, may really not care about civilian deaths, asymetrical warfare or collateral damage in a "conflict"? How about even just telling you the truth about what they are doing militarily?

From your previous responses, you act like the IDF has done no wrong and the gaza conflicts have all been kosher. But then hear you talk about your leader as a master manipulator and serial bullshitter - just doesn't make sense.

Or in other words: A politician.

I really don't wish to be dragged into a fruitless discussion again.
I already told you why Israel has a major interest in keeping civilians casualties to a minimum.

It's one thing to call Netanyahu a manipulative politician but he's not stupid, he doesn't really want to lead Israel into international isolation.

I am going to tell you again: everything about war is wrong and i'm not putting a moral stamp over anything.

I'm more interested on how things work, why do they work this way and how problems can be resolved.

I think it's a bit superficial to say: "Israel is killing way more Arabs than Arabs are killing Israelis - Israel must not give a shit about Arab lives and Netanyahu is Satan". It's like those people who say all Arabs are born evil, i just don't buy into that bullshit.

I believe this conflict will look the same under a different leader, i'm more worried about the cost of living.

Why do such brilliant minds disagree so much?

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Apr-04-2015 21:37:

The problem is the obvious bias that Sam Harris has a jewish background, even though he isn't practicing judaism.

He says that although he doesn't support a jewish state, if there is anyone that should have a state based on religion, it's the jews. kind of paradoxical and ignorant coming from such a brilliant man.

i don't think the fact that Sam Harris has a Jewish background has any influence at all on his judgement. I think they disagree for different reasons. Im just not to sure what those reasons are
