Kota is a city in northwest India. Enclosed by a massive wall, it is an agricultural market and has many fine temples. Population: 537,371.

"Sturmkraft" is German and means "The Power Of Storm". It is just one word because in the German language you can combine nearly as many nouns as you want to one word and need not use the "of-genitive".

Would like to explain more German track names but nothing comes into my mind ;-) damn drugs

and now my question:
What is the meaning of "Singularity Brainchild"? It is from "Ayla" and one of my favourite tunes.

here r my 2 cents for this amazingly interesting thread though i think the inital purpose of the thread was to determine how the sounds heard in the song relate to the name...

anyway,

vimana (tiesto/ferry/armin) is a vehicle in sanskrit..the medium of transporatation that gods in hindu mythology use...

nyana - is prolly what tiesto said it is...however its the sanskrit word for eyes,, precisely an eye = nyana

id be interested in starting a thread about the peculiar names remixes r given..

Kota is also a Finnish expression for this tent sort of thing where people of Lapland used to live in... or something like that... but I doubt that's what it's supposed to mean

Rapid Eye
Refers to rapid eye movement (REM), which is the fourth stage of sleep and where one usually dreams.

Rabbit In The Moon - Out Of Body Experience
Consciously seperating your astral body from your physical body, leaving your consciousness at a location outside of your physical body.

Astral Projection
Same thing as out of body experience.

Tiesto - Dallas 4PM
Tijs was in Dallas, and thought of a melody at 4 in the afternoon.
Thats it.
BTW, 643 is NOT the flight # from Amsterdam to Ibiza, or vice versa...it's the flight # between Amsterdam to New York, where Tiesto regularly flew.

BTW, anybody got these?
M.I.K.E - Sunrise at Palamos<---where is this
Mass Effect - Alpha Scan
Sonorous - Protonic
Kansai - Rococco

and wtf is an Autumn Tactic?

it's just like baroque, the renaissance etc. etc.
...first there was the renaissance, then baroque and then rococco...

here's a picture of a rococco style bed:

i find it hard to believe that artists would name songs based on a piece of furniture...like kansai roccocco for example..there has to be more to it than that...u guys r misssing the point of the whole thread....

well, palamos is in the mediterranean, iirc. alpha scan might be a brainwave scan, like a PET which is used for neuroimaging. protonic... well, having the quality of a proton, i suppose.

well rococco is a style of clothing, furniture, architechture etc. etc. from the late 18th century and nothing else according to my knowledge at least. the rococco style was very decorative and slender. it was a counter reaction to baroque, which was then thought of as too heavy/bulky and serious!

the name of the song isn't based on a piece of furniture, but on a european style of the late 18th century like i said before! study european history and you'll learn! and i never said the name of the song was based on a bed, did i?

if you have a better definition for the word "rococco" i'd like to hear it!

ure arguing me by quoting me verbatim,,i didnt mean to say its based literally on a piece of furniture....i dont have to study european history ot know what rocococco means...if ure (one is) aware of what goes on in this world, and keep ur eyes open enough , ud know its a particular style of ornamentation on art objects....

but ure arguing with me over rococco being a style not a piece of furniture...but still the point of how rococco fits in with the title has not been tackled....

that really is the point of the thread...how the sounds u hear inspire the arttists involved to name a tune that ...we're not really looking for the isolated meanings of song titles but rather how they fit in with the song as a whole....

in some cases the connection will be blatantly obvious..others it wont...so i guess decihering meanings of songs from their titles is a hit n miss thing....

for instance, why wud ferry name his song indigo....if someoen can shed light on the tihnking that went behind the naming...thats really what this thread is trying to answer....so ppl please more of such examples...

Sadly, I don't think most track titles hide some mystical meaning or are even very closely related to the sound they contain. More than likely a good number of producers simply think of something catchy or unusual, because associating music with words is sometimes a tricky business.

Besides, there isn't any "one meaning" to a track title. How it relates to the music is often up to the listener.

If you really, really want to, email the producers.

i just thought that dJohn didn't know what "rococco" meant, so i was trying to clear that up! ok?

and btw, rococco isn't just a style of ornamentation though. it's also a style of clothing & music & behaviour and living in general etc. kind of a cultural phenomenon that affected in the 18th century!

there's no rococco nowadays, it's just something that tries to look like rococco, but it's not rococco!

i don't know if kansai was affected by some rococco style when they made the song. i don't think so. maybe they just liked the word and thought it was cool, so they named their track rococco!

from what i've heard there usually are not any deeper meanings in the track or artist names!

...and more ofter than not it'll just be because the artist heard a word somewhere and thought "That sounds good, I'll use that...".
