maybe a ripoff

never noticed until now but i was lisening to Andain - Summer Calling (Airwave Club Mix) and i noticed that the main theme part right after the long ahhhhhhhhhh jan johnston does sounds like such a ripoff of either riva-time is the healer or communication (armin mixes)...dont remember which of those 2 songs has a very similar tune in the main theme part...anybody with me?

OK, I'll stop now.

So... what was this "big surprise" again?

Fuckin', I know! What was it? 3 live vocalists, kinda expected, at least JJ was, and what live orchestra, everyone knew that. So whats the deal? Maybe the DvD is the suprise.

peace,

Steve

wtf are you talking about mate?

Oh and I was there and can verify: there was nothing at all surprising about Tiesto In Concert. The only thing that surprised me was how little I was surprised by the whole night. And even that didn't surprise me too much.

That's because you're from the UK

Well everybody seems to have enjoyed the concert, except for some british people. And when surfing round the boards you'll notice that most of the people that are complaining about various things are british

But if you really didn't enjoy the concert, well that's a pity

I think my opinion of the concert had more to do with the fact that it was just an 8 hour set with a few live PA's than it has to do with the fact I'm from the UK

If I agreed with the rest of them about Tiesto I wouldn't have gone in the first place

Posted by Pio on May-13-2003 14:27:

lol, you and your national rivalries

well, i for once was surprised by the eclectic nature of the show, and how Tiesto was able to literally make it a truly epic experience going around the world and all, i really digged that. he was really creative with all those live shows and how he juxtaposed it into his own music. especially the Australian bit with the psychedelic woodpipes doing harmonies for like 5 minutes and Tiesto eventually mixed it into Frank Biazzi's Obsession, that was absolutely magikal!

only thing missing for me to make the night perfect was the live symphony orchestra but one day it will happen, i'm sure.

Didgeridoos

I donno what kind of surprise you expected ( im aware of the self-contradictory nature of this question ) bit I for my part was fully satisfied. I was actually relieved that it wasn't a second DD2002 solo, but a totally different concept. The way I saw it Tiesto was performing 7 "mini-sets" which were not totally independet from each other but rather more kept building gradually till the last two sets (5-7) where hard tech-trance was beautifully blended with uplifting stormers and all-time classics Also those live shows were on a very high level if u ask me. Something I'd expect from an opnenign show of Olypmic Games or stuff like that.

That's because we all love to complain! No stereotyping here.

Please watch the development of this thread and you will notice that the flames were started by some UKTAs. Coincidence?
