are they released cds or released mp3,s by famous and not so famous djs.
sorry for my silly questions

or reccorded by the trance addict member

Hi Newbie!!!

Some are recording in stream on internet radio like DI.fm or ETN.fm, and other one from direct live, or sample!!!

Why do u want to know how they get that from? Just apreciate the music!!!

hi switcher,

I AM not from the dance music world, but from a classical-world music background.

i HAVe been working on a dance piece for 12 years and want to release it, soon.

i am trying to work out how the dance music scene works and how i can get it to djs via so-called promotion companies who give out promo vynils.

i am really baffled as to how it all works
but this site looks like it can point me in some organised direction.
i am not very cluey with all this.
i dont even know what they mean by a B-SIDE (what music is on the B-SIDE).
I AM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THE LINGO as well.
just bought DANCE MUSIC MANUAL by MR. SNOWMAN and 9 other books

Posted by Switcher on May-04-2006 07:04:

Hahahahahaha, or for the MPAA!!!!

No, can't imagine. I hope it's not going to be such fuc*** like in France now for DNL & UPL!!!

B-SIDE???

Anyway, what do u want to know about Trance addict people and there amazing music???

hahhahahahha only killin'!!!!

Yeah, and WELCOME!!!

Ask everything u want, we can find it!!!!

Posted by technomonster on May-04-2006 07:15:

i have musicological background.
i chose technomonster as a name because i adore dance music.

i am also from an isolated place in Australia so i actually have no one to discuss trance dance music here.
apartfrom a few guys (2 i know, that have written trance like stuff) who dont like me, yoo hoo,

i have been experimenting with a different beat for 12 years

and for fun would like to release it.
i dont know what dj attitudes are about different things or how the scenes work so i am floating around the net like others to see what an area of music is like which i dont undrestand.

and no i am not for the FBI, hey hey

Technomonster...

There must be Australian dance scene forums...I'm from New Zealand and we are waaaay smaller than you guys...(inface you can fit 12 New Zealands into Texas alone) and we do have forums and other electonic music infrastructure so to speak....

i meant in person at a coffee shop type thingy.

I've known'heard of Jon O'Bir for a few yrs now, and i been waiting for this guy to take the next step toward stardom....

This set is DEF a step in that direction.
Once he starts consistently putting out solid productions,
who knows how big he will become.
Listening to this set is convincing me even more that he
is headed straight in the right direction.....

Posted by abyss on May-04-2006 19:03:

^^ +1 Jon did suprise me indeed, just as he did some times before. One to watch for in the near future

And thanks for all the contributions here
