Hey Folks,
New on the forum here. My first post
It's now standing on my desk and still have to build my new custom table. Will do that after i bought my new mixer.
Welcome Groovejunk, thats a DAM nice setup you got there, I hope to be pickin up a CDJ1000 soon aswell, and when I get the money the EFX1000.
Oh yea, what mixer you lookin at gettin?
Thnx 4 the compliment DannyO.
I really like the looks of the Denon X1500 (Can get it very cheap from a friend of mine, 2 months old) Or maybe the Ecler Nuo.
But is still don't know exactly. Denon = cheaper and surely good enough for some home-mixing. I won't use it on the road. Everywhere i go there is mostly a mixer (dateq) available.
Denon means : less money and still have money left for some good dj furniture..
Ecler means : shitload of money and leave it on my desk for another 2 months
what do you mean "leave it on my desk for another 2 months"?
From the way you put it, the denon is the obvious answer, but the Nuo is the superior mixer I believe.

HORIZONTAL PLACEMENT, BITCHES
Well if you only use it once every 2 months, then its definately worthwhile to get the one easier on your pocketbook.

hey first post! Hi all
setup is as follows (mates really but I use it alot)..
Numark TT1625's
Numark DM950 mixer
Sony MDR V150 headphones (mine)
PC (k62-400, 256mb ram, creative live, 20gb hdd, cdrw) soon adding a laptop.
approx 100+ vinyl
setup runs through the pc and out on sum cheap 2.1 pc speaker system. I know its junk but gets us by. saves us from boredom

Im just waitin for a insurance claim and if I get what im expecting I'll be splashing around £1k on a new set of decks for myself

When you guys talk about updates for your DNX, is it just like an anti virus program or whatveer that you isntall the software hook up your mixer and do an online transfer to your mixer? Is it tricky

Originally posted by DannyO Nice man, I actually have the X1500, and fuckin love the thing, I also had the option of buying the Ecler for the same price but decided I can do more with the X1500, I've had it for ages, learned how to do things other mixers can't and I still haven't fully learned how to use it to its full potential, and theres also the fact Denon will more than likely be adding a bunch more effects to the unit in the future threw upgrades, I always recommend people try both the X1500 and Nuo5 out due to people being different, you can't go wrong with either one, but I think for your situation you should go for the X1500, it won't let you down. |
Here is my setup. It's not the best, but gets the job done.
What kind of headphones are those? And I would say thats pretty dang good setup there tony.
nice pics TonY not sure about the records against the radiator though :S
