the polish community here, where im around in canada only sucks because the people who are here have been here for 15 yrs and left poland during its most communist stage. so now, they're extrememly pessimistic on life, totally cynical and dont believe anything you tell them that MIGHT possibly mean good things in life.

im not basing my opinion on one family, but on about 20 that we've met here. there were a couple of exceptions, and thats why they have stayed friends with us and the rest of the other people havent.



and whats wrong with walbrzych? i came from an even smaller town about 30 mins from walbrzych and guess what, i dont consider myself a "prostak"....

i know its like that "everywhere" and with "every type of people from different countries" but it pisses me off with the polish community. i went to a pilgrimage in italy a few years back with the same assholes, wow, HYPOCRITS. They talk about how much they love god, and how "catholic" they are, at the same time they go to the cit, get piss drunk, come back and throw up all over the beds.....and this was happening while we were staying at a MONASTARY. Pathetic, and disguisting. Eventhough i didnt beleive in god (tho noone knew not even my parents) i think its safe to say that in the eyes of god id be the better "catholic" cuz i dont do half the shit they do.

that happens in every community though, not just polish. highschools here are full of that.. no matter who you are. they just judge you by how much money they have or you have..etc.. or how popular they are with the other "rich" bastards...

its all materialistic bullshit, but in the end thats life. i guess.

yeah but im not rich, nor was i the popular kid. just average in all sense. tho right now, i consider myself at a MUCH higher position (in terms of intelligence and success with personal goals like school, im the only one that truly loves what i study)

by the way, blue neon, those "prostacy" your'e talking about, like greefgirl said moved here during bad times, just like I did, I moved to the states when I was 5 and have lived here ever since, I went back for a few years, but then cameback cuz there is nothing there, no work etc...I still love my own country, and my family still lives there. I guess we kindof have a "thug" mentallity to life, cuz it was never easy getting anything nor is it still....does that make u any less of a Pole? The whole country is poor man, whether u live in the countryside or the city areas...its one and the same, the same snot hangs from Polish kids noses , location doesnt matter, there are no fucking jobs, and everyone doest backstab as kamil said to get ahead in life in whichever way they can. chinese are like that toward other races. they have to prove they're better than everyone else... but they're a community within each other (or so it seems)... and no, my statement about the chinese is not meant to be racist. its just the truth and its not ONLY with the chinese.

know whats the worst though, old style social skills that poles use STILL, I mean I look outside the box, I dont consider myself Pole when dealing with people...I kindof put aside where I come from and just am myself, I dont try to stick by a cookie cutter pole personality that you must have in these little social groups they got, like use these retarted fucking Pole terms and literation like "siemanko!" i hope its passing, if it continues, im gonna shun almost every polak, espceially in terms of business, last time i worked with some polish guy, he said hed pay me 200 bucks for a business card design, i said sure, thats a lot of cash, but well talk about it later (since im still a student)

when the time came i asked about how much pay, he said "ill give u 80"
and im thinking "what the fuck happened to 200?"

in the end i got payed 125.....mind u, this was during christmas, and i was out of money, and i really wanted to go back home and spend time with parents. wow, thoughtful, huh?

Wow, u join a group of people, u say something, it goes unnoticed, noone cares. Fuck them i say, i never feel comfortable around them.

it's cause Polaks on this continent start thinking they're hotshit or something because all of the sudden they're in a 1st world country. BUT, they move into a Polish community, make Polish friends, work for Polish people, put Polish stickers on their cars, play Soccer (thats like a requirement, cause any other sport sucks), and thats as far as their lives go. I'm like you, I barely hang out with any Polaks here, only 2 actually, the rest of my friends are from all over the place, China, Korea, Iraq, bla bla bla. I prefer meeting people from somewhere other than Poland...cause frankly, I can't stand Polish people here, they're so caught up in trying to be Polish its sad, in a way. Just go through Mississauga and count how many Civics/Integra's you see with a Polish eagle sticker on the back, or a POLSKA scarf on the back. Ugh...gimme a break!

Exactly, i dont mind polish pride, its all within moderation, but those who do all the polska4lyfe shit pisses me off. Even when i go somewhere, some expect me to speak polish, as if, i moved out of poland when i was 2, then lived in greece for 3 years, now your in fucking canada, so tough shit. I always tell em "kurwa, po angielsku nie umiesz?"

the civic thing is lame, i mean, its done to death. especially the polaks who try to be gino, omg, its hilarious....

i went to the polish day thing in august (i think it was august) omg....wow. its so overwhelming.

most of my friends are asian now, i dont mind it, theyre nice people, very relaxed.

lol i was gonna do that for a while.. until i met the people who HAD DONE it and they were the biggest bunches of wannabe smartasses that i decided i wasnt gonna be one of them...
it's not something i am..and wouldnt stoop down to that level

i wanted to do it cuz i feel proud for being polish. we have some of the most beautiful girls, really smart people (scientists and etc), and a beautiful country... but because of the dumbass polaks that live outside of poland and DISRESPECT IT, everyone else disrespects it too...because no one is proud to be polish anymore. they'd rather backstab their country and their patriotism... just to be something they're not..
