Info: James Zabiela's talent is immediately apparent with near-perfect blending of tunes, coupled with awesome scratching and some serious CDJ1000 abuse in this mix from the Renaissance tour at Friction, Lot 33 in Canberra. The set starts off in prog territory, but swiftly moves into breaky numbers before heading into tech and backing out in progressive again with a live mashup three-deck finale of "Enjoy The Gravy". Many consider this to be the best live set they've ever heard - you be the judge and hear what all the fuss is about!

Beste UDC Member,

2 augustus is het zover, Dance Valley 2003!!!

Voor UDC Members hebben we op dit event mega uitgepakt!!!
Ten eerste kan je via een aparte ingang het festivalterrrein op. Dus niet meer
wachten in de rij. Er komt een speciale UDC Member tent waar allerlei top
activiteiten zullen plaats vinden. Ook kan je hier gebruik maken van de
toiletten en een aparte muntverkoop zodat je snel terecht kunt.
Als member heb je ook toegang tot de Valley Tower (36 meter hoog) met een
uitzicht over het hele festival. Verder is er nog een UDC Member Deck bij de
Hard Dance Stage.
Kortom dit wordt een knaller!!! Volgende week mailen we je wat foto�s van de
opbouw.

i've been living in Groningen for about 3 weeks and i'll be here until aug 9. i'm american (hence i dont speak much dutch). i've got my ticket for DV, and i'm totally excited, but i cant read this thread! anyways, i dont really want to go back to groningen at 23.00 uur, i was wondering if everyone had plans for an afterparty in amsterdam or something or if any good djs were doing an afterparty. if possible, PM me in english if its already been discussed, i dont mean to hijack this thread with rediscussion.

Toch raar dat de kaart verkoop van DV zo langzaam gaat. Waarschijnlijk beste line up van een nederlands feest ooit! Terwijl 3 jaar terug er een mindere line up was en 100000 mensen een kaartje kochten. Economische recessie zullen we het maar noemen. ik heb er iig kei veel zin in. Meer zin in GKGG zelfs!

Maar goed ff wat nieuws.

line up entrance: (jaja onze vrienden van udc hebben djs bij de ingang, erg relekst was dat vorig jaar. iedereen ging springend en dansend naar binnen. 5 min daarna ging het helaas alleen regenen maar jah. het idee erachter is natuurlijk lachen!!)

Verder zijn er dit jaar kluisjes te huur op het DV terrein. Als het goed is zijn deze kluisjes bij de ingang.

Trouwens erg droge festival policis quotes op de DV site:

I just booked my flight and ordered my Dance Valley Ticket! I'm flying from Toronto, Canada to Amsterdam next Wednesday. I can't wait!!! I was over there last in 2001 for the festival.

I am really looking forward to this trip! If anyone is interested in having a Canadian tag along, let's meet up! I can't speak very good dutch, but I'm learning. (my mother is dutch)

Ok, so that makes 3 TA's from North America that are going (myself included). So, can someone please tell us where the TA meetup is for Dance Valley, and also if there are any good pre- or post-DV parties?

Think there isnt a meetingspot yet, but i think it WILL be on top of the hill. There is an official DanceValley meetingpoint. Time? Round 18:00 o'clock will do, just before Carl Cox starts

there is a meeting point at the mainstage in the dance valley information flyer, but last year there wasnt any signs or information screens that indicated the meeting point. I thinkt it is best to meet at the mainstage but not at the offical meeting point. On the mainstage there is that little steel hut with the steel flags on top.

the thing with the flags is i think the best meeting point. If you look behind it you can see the hard dance area. WHAT YOU SEE BEHIND IT IS NOT THE MAINSTAGE!!

to find the meetingpoint.
1.go to the mainstage
2.turn your back to the dj. (make sure Remy D is not behind you )
3. walk uphill and on your left hand site you will see out meeting point!

tonight ( High Quality at the Melkweg Amsterdam) the time table will be released. So we wait for the time table and than i think its best to deside what time the meeting will be at.

Here you can see the dance valley construction site. GREAT pictures strange to see the mainstage without partypeolpe and dj/stage equipment
