No dude, I left when you didn't let Nu-NRG encore and started your set.

BTW, Butterfly or Take Your Air as a lead track would have been a great way to keep the flow going.

When Paul dropped Nothing But You earlier in his set, for some reason it sounded like a Vengaboys remix. It was that bad!

I can't even begin to think of this night without getting goosebumps, i had such an amazing time, it was undoubtedly the night of my life. paul absolutely killed me, we were all at his complete mercy. OH AND END KISS HOLY SHIT!!! i was the kid screaming NEW FUCKING NRG with the black vandit shirt on. i recognized a bunch of you TAs but i was with some friends and i didnt want them thinkin i was too weird lol...but omg what a night, it was...the time of our lives

Yeah, I remember that! Traffic was truly one of the highlights. Like I said, it was mainly what kicked off the real energy of the night.

I don't remember any different mix of Connected being played. It was just the Moto Mix (which is the 'original' mix, correct?).

hehe just remembered one more...he's been dropping a remix or rework of
Paul van Dyk - Out There

he dropped it @ space in june and @ cp anyone else catch it?

first of all

nu nrg told me they were done and gave me the green light to start my set so ur wrong right there. if they wanted to do an encore, they woulda said so. maybe a clue would be good for u right now. also, the management SWITCHED the control boards back to the dj booth so even if nu nrg was going to play a song, no one would hear it because the booth was the source of power so i had to start.

next

i didnt want to open with another nu nrg track. they are all great songs and they work real well for me usually but i didnt feel like playing yet another nu nrg tune at that moment. 10 within 1 hour's time is good. instead i opened with armins new tune (slipstream) which is a great opener in my book too. dont jump into conclusions when u seriously have no idea what ur talking about...

no he must have played the pulser remix of sunlight towards the end after he played massive... cuz thats the time i left (not by choice ). had he played that song, i would have recognized it instantly and died for 6 minutes cuz its such a tune

Posted by Enervate on Aug-31-2003 19:10:

did anyone notice that he played like a REALLY REALLY OLD song in a crazy mellowed out kinda mix.. the original was real hard hitting and the version he played was kinda techie, more mellow.. its a song that pvd used to frequent a lot back in the day.

i also think the old house song that he played for like 1.5 mins was "sm traxx - the groove"

Posted by CivicRydr on Aug-31-2003 19:26:

Owned??...(doesn't even look like a word if you stare at it)

Vic, didn't mean to disrespect you like that.

I just wasn't totally satisfied with 60mins. of NuNRG that night and wanted more. Slipstream is a fantastic lead off song, and from what I read, your selection was on point that night.

Best of luck.

I WAS THE GUY WITH THE SIGN!!!

Well after taking 30 min, reading all the posts on this thread it sux that this is the first time i have access to the net. Yeah i was sooo proud of my sign and i went as i moved up to the front a group at the very front saw me and called me up and then we all yelled PAUL PAUL and he looked and smiled while he shook his head. I was like NOOOOO!!! For me Miami ultra 5 is still not complete til i hear END KISS!!! but later with the dreamland side of the side showing he saw it and he did give me this banging song (which was the song of the night for me at Nu-Nrg and PVD)

!!!THE NIGHT WAS SOOO AMAZING!!!

I could have sworn that he didint play three drives and it was polaris - ripple driver (pvd rework) but i could be wrong.

and like someone else i also recorded the set, but i got a Good recording, well the first hour is perfect but i was gonna run out of tape so the last two hours i had to put on the slower speed lesser quality but for the last hour and 10 min i had my arm straght up with the recorder in hand and it turned out great. And i love it that there are parts where all you hear is screaming, and for me its like re-living the night cuz i hear teh conversations i had with other TA like Idand t and another from boston.

Oh and id and t that was sooo awsome tryng to id all teh tracks and on my recording you say what two songs are haha, it was sweetness

Thanks for the tracklist!

This night was the shit for me of course being a NU NRG promoter, (well duh i went to see pvd with a sign for two nu nrg songs) the songs where i died were:

ATRC
Second sun - empire
DREAMLAND
Three drives - carrera 2 (nu nrg mix) i dont know how someone said this song was bad
Sasha - wav gravy
DJ Tiesto - Traffic
Time of our lives
nothing but you
for a revolt/angel
connected (yes it is the motomix i have the new vinyl)
the silence

the eternal was not played nor was nu nrg connected i would know this

It also did feel like ultra but underworld tieto and oakey werent there but still awsome none the less, i came to NY from cali to see NU NRG and PVD it was more than i could have ever imagined

I m trying to find someone who can digitally enhance my recording to take out the crowd but am not having much luck, ill try to put it on the net if i can figure out how...once again what a sweet fuckin night
