Gabriel and Dresden Did Remix Britney Spears
Gabriel and Dresden have finished their remix of Britney Spears - Me Against The Music. I wish they had removed Britney and Madonna's voices altogether. I am big G&D fan, but I will say, I don't care for their mix of Britney Spears. I feel that it is impossible for any remixer to turn a thoroughly crappy song into a great one unless the remixer removes all of the cacophonous elements. In this case, every element of the original is a cacophonous mess in my opinion.
I imagine that Britney and Madonna wanted their voices all over the mix, so I am betting G&D had little choice but to include nearly the entire song in the mix.
looking forward to hearing this.
I haven't checked out any of the other remixes yet exccept for the killer club amateur one, which is pretty good as it uses a steve murano bassline.

I still stand by 100% that there's nothing wrong with remixing a pop track if the end result is good, but yes, this track is pretty horrible IMO.
I just took a listen to it yesterday and I believe it's quite good. It's just as any other G&D remixed track, pretty much on their style. The only inconvenient that I saw after a while was the vocals, they could have made a track of their own out of this and I bet it'd have had more acceptance between those skepticals that only see OH IT'S BRITNEY, HELL NO, IT SUCKS!!! ... but well. It's still nice overall, I'd love a dub of it though.

THIS SONG IS SOOO GOOD!!! so danceable! the beat is really deep and sexy, wow, this is better than i thought it was gonna be

Well, it's a decent remix considering how bad the original is... the production side of things is pretty good but still too many vocals for my liking... anyways, I hope the boys got paid well for this one so they could consider making a lower profile remix next where the deciding factor is good source material and not the big bucks...

heh, i actually dig this. but the vocals are a bit of an overkill. they should have just left the parts in with madonna and britney talking. i don't like britneys style of singing in this song at all.
the vocal version gets a 5/10 from me.. im sure a dub would rate a little higher.

I have not heard the original song and I just listened to the promo for what it is. I can honestly say that I am not impressed with it...the vocal especially. 4/10.
