to be honest this movie deserves more than a 6, i watched this from begining and i'm addicted...

Waterworld was mad because not alot of movies done it's concept.. but Postman is pretty good i think.

Does sample one of the classical parts of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack?

If it does, I'm pretty sure Armin played it in Sydney....

Dude, you're meant to control your sleeping patterns naturally....if you want to et to bed early @ night, u wake up on almost no sleep; simple......you'll sort yourself out in a few days....

Drugs aren't cool. Say no to Drugs.

i dunno if i can do it naturally.. can anyone?

I try to sleep but fall asleep 4 hours later, so no use there... sleeping tablet corrects the patterns so u can do it again the other nights without it.

And also sleeping late damages the body and crap bringing all kinds of crap disease. Man i'm talkin gibberish gain'

Medicine for insomnia, paulie style:

Dl some XXX movies, preferably devon, or hustlers barely legal. When you want to go sleep say @ 11 0clock chuck it on, toss the old fella off, go lie down in bed. You will be in bed in 5 mins flat. Thats a paulie insurance. This way your pipework is fresh and maintained, no room for rust.

I stay up till 4am quite a lot. When I swap shifts @ work, I'll be getting up @ 6am, for 2-3 days I am like death, but then I'm stuck back into going to bed early.

I find you need to have sleeping pills for quite a few nights, as it takes a while for your body to adapt to the new routine (as you're bodys not tired and your putting it to sleep), if you sleep in like you normally do, you're going to be stuck in a loop of waking up late, and wanting to stay up late.

Re the sleeping cycles and it damaging your body. Quite a few studies have showed, as long as you sleep between 6-8 hours a night, at roughly the same times each night, you're fine. The addon to that style of study is the (circardic [sp] study) which says you should be asleep before midnight.

my sleeping patterns are absolutely none existent (hence why I spend so much time on this thread). I rarely get tired before 3 am also and don't get up till at least 2 pm (except for when I have work, which is extremely rare and when I go back to uni which is next week). Big weekends play a major role, however its my inability to concentrate during the day, which is why most of the time I'm awake is during the long hours of the night.

Speaking of night.........how are we on this one ?

While I was at uni I managed to train myself to switch sleeping patterns quite easily. I had the "bed at 4am, wake up at midday" pattern 3 days a week while I was at uni, the other 2 days when I was working I could comfortably sleep at midnight and wake up by 7 for work.

The trick is to short-sleep yourself the night before you have to get up. Go to bed at 3am, but then force yourself up at 8-9am. So then later than night, when you'd normally be struggling to sleep, it's hell difficult to stay awake

Posted by shark on Feb-24-2004 01:39:

Hey guys.
Plenty of exercise is the solution for me.
I work 12 hour shifts watching a computer network. 7:30 to 7:30 for 2 days and 2 nights followed by a 4 day weekend. Hardest parts are the early mornings and forcing myself to wake up after only 4 hours sleep on my first day off. I do that to make sure I get "normal" sleep pattern on the other 3 days of the weekend. But as long as I keep the exercise regular I can sleep whenever I need to.
The spanner in the works is the big nights out. This weekend for example, Saturday night will start at about 11pm at a bar with clubbing after and probably finish with recovery at someones house late Sunday afternoon. That will leave me wrecked for a couple of days, but of course, other factors are involved.
And for those who are wondering, a 4 day weekend is still not long enough.

Damn fixing the sleeping habit for many seems pretty easy

well last night the sleeping tablet knocked me out at around 10:30pm and i bloody woke up fresh only 4 hours later WTF!!..

haha i get up from bed confused, thinking its morning but very dark, look at the time and it's only 2:30... so much for the bloody tablet

so i dunno what to do, jump on the internet and notice there is hardly anyone on the forums... the boredom puts me to sleep, wake up at midday.

so much for that

Hate to say I told you so ;( (was hoping u'd tell me so!).

Tonight try it our way....stay up late, and then go t bed early.

Exercise, is another way of making you sleepy early.
