Well...to make a long story short, my computer went berserk and my mix is gone! I don't have any time to redo it so it looks like I'm going to be pulling out of this one, unless I can be allowed to send in an older set.

My mix and track/cue list is now uploaded. I got 4 or 5 time-outs from the FTP server, had to upload in several steps, I hope it worked.

I used a "low quality" Lame setting in the Exact Audio Copy program, so my mix is VBR, it sounds (to me) the same as the "high quality" setting but the MP3 file is fairly small, 66 megabytes and 71 minutes long. On average it is less than 160 kbps judging from the file size.

It was fun and a bit of sweat to do the mix. This was a good learning experience, competition is good for that.

I was going to do a new mix but since I signed up my hard drives on my music computer died. I don't even have the original WAV anymore.

Sorry for taking sooo long. I was totally unhappy with all the beta mixes I had made over the past month. I guess I'm just really picky these days. Plus a lot of the transitions are utter garbage. I'm still not happy with the mix I am finally uploading, but that's just me. Hopefully it is enjoyed by judges as much as I enjoyed making it (I just needed a good night's sleep).

Even if I am disqualified for being late, and it doesn't bother me if I am, at the very least I had fun making the mix and that's really what the spirit of this competition is about anyways.

I will upload a tracklist soon, but for the moment I'll post it here.

I was wondering for how long are people who entered this competition mixing. I started in may 2003 and I usualy spin in weekends a few hours because of the school.

I spin with cd's every weekend for my radio broadcast for about 2.5 years.As for mp3's i spin only when i'm bored at home or when i want a cd mix with some favourite tunes to listen when i'm driving.
