yeah he played it, but way too slow to harness the full potential of it PVD Speed is much better and its one of those that gets +8 all the way

after atrc winning 2003, it was time that TA reassured me some people still have taste

yay, i think those results are quite fair.

in fairness it was THE trance tune of 2003

In Silence was easily tune of the year, and was by far the only sensible choice from the six in the final poll.

Why anyone would vote for such a bland-fest like Whiteroom is beyond me. But at least the best tune won

meh, I was always a 'holding onto nothing' fan

Posted by isoterra on Jan-20-2005 17:06:

confession

i still like ATRC

if only for the first 2 mins of the sweeping strings mix before the vocals come in... the way the tune subtley starts to build with the little phasing sound in the background... still manages to give me shivers & brings back some nice memories

yeah love holding onto nothing. That was played at Slinky this NYE, the whole place was singing, brought back many a memory.

just notided that there is no vocals in the top 3 (well a bit of vocals but nothing major), compare that to the top 4 in 2003:

Motorcycle - ATRC
Andain - Beautiful Things
Scott Bond vs Solarstone - 3rd Earth
Agnelli and Nelson - Holding on to Nothing.

Yes In Silence....
Not the best but good track
Better than Whiteroom...Armin destroyed such a wonderful tune...

Posted by Coup on Jan-20-2005 19:49:

we have a winner.

I can live with this.

Yet another good portent for 2005.

wooot, still in silence is going ahead ... yeah!!!! it needs to become tha #1!!!!!

Posted by ShadoWolf on Jan-21-2005 04:18:

For posterity's sake, I'd like to note that, while In Silence won the TA TOTY competition, it wasn't even close to being the best track of 2004.

Definitely

Which is, in your opinion, the best track of the year? Mine was Havannah (Mike Shiver remix). I think many of us had other choices, but well, this is what the most of us chose as the best one. Anyways, I thank god Whiteroom didnt make it.

My #1 choice was obvious, but there is only one or two other tracks of that group Id have preferred over In Silence. Signum's old mix remains my favorite though.

For subjectivity's sake, be quiet.

I like that Signum rmx of 'Silence' very much. The remake of it, 'In Silence' doesnt do it for me at all comparing to the older 'Silence'. That's the reason y im putting 'In Silence' off.

Posted by skrt on Jan-22-2005 12:17:

Tunes are good but for me Randy Katana - In-Silence rolls them all...
