This should have it's own sticky thread just till the night of the show. It could potentially put a damper on some peoples nights.

Got my ticket today

Posted by Max Q on Mar-20-2005 22:39:

I'm obviously there

Uhm.. i can't tell if people that are posting in this rollcall thread who are coming are also wearing white.

let me clearly know so I can edit my list..

The list seems a bit short, but there's more people (who are not TA's) that are going to be doing this as well.

I've been a Way Out West fan for years now, never seen a live show or a set. I'm quite interested to see what goes down.

Are you b-shitting?

FFS - IMO it isn't even appropriate to ask for more than +4 on a g'list.

This isn't the wellfare office - it's a guestlist offered by someone one (should at least) know.

I agree with you that it's rude to ask for more than 4 on guestlist, but that's not even the point.

The point is these people believe that they're getting reduced guestlist, and are budgeting accordingly. If any of them are students like me, they're prolly budgetting to the dime. They get there, and then realize that they're charging $45 or so at the door, $10 more which is usually the case. $10 usually being the money the put aside for the cab ride home.

I've been a student and paid engineering tuition without any "donations" from parental figures - so I know the challenges of budget management while being a student.

My suggestion is: If $10 or $20 is going to break the bank for the month - then perhaps one should reconsider going out (and not whether or not they are on someones g'list).

I've gotta say dude. Even though you started that dissapointing tota behaviour thread, you appear to be the most bitter/jaded person on this board.

Would it kill somebody to warn them that they're not on guestlist anymore? I don't get why you wouldn't want to help somebody out. Just because they 'overshot' guestlist? c'mon. Obviously alot of your fellow trance addicts requested more than +4 on guestlist if ezekiel had to warn people that they're no longer doing anything higher than +4.

OK USA.

I am FAR from bitter, FAR from jaded - but ok. Rock on!

I didn't say anything about ~not~ helping someone out, I simply said it was unreasonable to expect, without condition, a large g'list and further I said that if a menial amount of money was such a significant issue that one would be wise to save their money and not go out at all.

Your reply was playing devils advocate denouncing my idea of putting a thread on the front page sticky till the night of the show. I read it in the way that it says "fuck those greedy bastards, we don't need to warn them". "are you b-shitting me?" translates to me as "what a stupid idea". So how I read your post was "what a stupid idea, fuck them greedy bastards, we don't need to warn them".

And I bolded appear because usually online persona's aren't a true representation of what you're like in real life, because I'm sure you're not really bitter and jaded, just that post made you appear that way.

Based on your response - your misinterpretation/assumption of what I said made you conclude I was that I was "bitter and jaded". Perhaps a second thought, a more open interpretation would garner different results.

Posted by Endlesswave on Mar-21-2005 01:55:

wtf? Reduced. Bah, I should've known there was going to be one. Ah wellz, I'm picking up my ticket on Tues.

How does me saying appear draw any conclusions?

Fuck it, this is a roll call thread, lets not kill it's buzz.
