was great comimg out and seeing the TOTA's, My apologies if I seemed a bit off to anyone, I had some lower back pains that were kicking my ass and I was pretty irratable at times (i couldn't seem to avoidy the ceiling drips no matter where i stood!). regardless, it was a great night! I really enjoyed dj remy and nick warren, Nu Nrg were good as well.. not enough variance from the hard hard stuff, but soem creative maneuvers made up for that!

The second link is indeed dead. But it doesn't even matter because they both link to the same video. I just thought I'd try 2 different servers out, and rapidshare is the best one.

Nu NRG tearin it up.

Armin and Nu NRG(just finished)

got in at about midnight..into dj remy, played great. I could tell i came into the end of his set, cause there was a great vibe in the room already, nice and fun, bouncy.
I was there to see Nick warren, and the man was incredible. I had hoped for a nice warm set from the guy, kinda a "don't look now" feel, but it definatly would not have been right for the event. He definatly played on the harder side, with some great classics(got some vids). Incredible mixing, because each song blended very well with the next. Who ever said it was on the acid house side, was right. I guess it just to show you Nick's skills at reading a crowd/event knowing what to play, and taking the crowd into his own hands.
Nu-Nrg started off with bang. Got the haus pumpin, and really showed great enthusiasm. They were into it right away, i guess they had to, they only had an hour to do their thing. The set got a bit minotinous by the end, so i just went out to get some fresh air.
Walked into the bigining of Cox's set, and he lived up to everything i had heard. I had never seen him before, but i can now see why he is such a club favourite. I've never seen that many people grooving so hard and so in sequence.
I rotated between cox and armin for a while, just walking through to see what they were both up to. I dont know if it was just me, but there seemed like there was too much bass for Armin's set. It just didnt feel as trancey to me, more hard, or was that the way he played?
in the end a great party. it had a very consistant theme(music wise) it was pretty well run.
Major gripe: the insane amount of people smoking inside. They werent even trying to hide it. There were even crowds of smokers banding together. I know its nice to be able to smoke weed inside, because its covered up by the butts...but id rather have no smoke, and no weed, than even a bit of cigarette smoke, and weed.
music: 9
visuals: 8
guv staff: 8
crowd: 7
EDIT: i just looked at my vids...i got give the visuals a higher score. Armins screen visuals were terrible. just the sameshit over and over. "a state of trance" going by on the screen, and a pic of armin shaking.
visuals guv/kh: 9
armin's visuals: 5

there was one tune that was a rcok song. fuck i cant remmeber the name. and it wasnt norvana.
One of the greatest parties I've ever been to. I came to see Nu-Nrg for the fourth time and this performance was at the same level as when I first saw them at the Arc! Absolutely goosebumps when END KISS was played, plus the Born Slippy teaser. When Nu-Nrg is playing with a sound system like that, and the tempo is fast, there is no better act in the world in my opinion. Nick Warren was good too. I only caught a bit of Armin, prolly like an hour or so (Ridgewalkers - Find was playing while I was in the coat check). Anyway, we had a huge group drive up from Ann Arbor, everybody had a great time, and we are all considering coming back for Ultra Spin 7! I also enjoyed exploring. I had been to the Guv previously like two times, but never ventured above the ground floors. Best club (complex) I've seen. Nice work all around last night, or was it last night? I don't remember.
You guys better be rested up for Unity @ Pulse tonite

hey everyone,
if anyone is interested in seeing some more pics of the night let me kno i took a ton of them and most of them turned out amazing!
DJ Celica - I didnt realize it at the time but i got a pic of Armin signing ur toronto maple leafs hat!!! send me ur email and i'll send u the pic.
Party Hard People
Got to KH lineup at around 10:30-11:00 or so. After about half-hour got in. Then we waited another half hour for coatcheck. I have never been so anxious to get into an event in my life (especially because i could taste the beats coming from inside... man...)
I didn't end up makin' it to the TA meetup point you guys decided on 'cause I was also meeting up with other TA's and friends all over the place. I did come dressed in my white getup, however.
So I was mingling to the likes of DJ Remy, when Nick Warren got up on the decks. I've seen Nick a few times before. The first was at Meow in 2000 where he was amazing. The last one I saw him at he was spinning a very boring set (i would have probably loved it if it was a recorded mix and I was chillin at home or driving my car at night).
... so my expectations for him were pretty low this time. But he surprised me (and surprised everyone else it seems) because he progressed so well with some solid tracks like 'Avatar - The Haze (Greed's Blackwatch remix)' then going to some crazy hard Acid House! Holy shit!! He was on FIRE!!! I actually had to stop some conversations in mid-sentence to dance out the rest of the track(s)!
Time FLEW by for Nick's set and before I knew it, Nu NRG was gracing us with their presence. There's something to be said from a LIVE PA -- the sound quality was just so precise, tight... and they played us like one of their instruments! Especially when they broke out into Born Slippy!!!! The place went NUTS!!! The cheers almost drowned out the PA!! Great job guys!! Seen them twice and both times they haven't disappointed!
Then Armin comes on and I must admit, at this point in time I was a little off my rocker so I went exploring around the complex with a friend of mine. We tasted a little Armin from time to time (All the time very solid and lovin' every second), hung out in the Orange Room for a while listening to some wicked-ass breaks (I can't remember who was spinning at the time.. it was either Atomic Hooligan or Evil 9), visited the Guv for some Cox (Wow.. what Bangin' techno -- I don't know if he was doing this or not but it sounded like he was layering some acapellas over some tracks and was messin' around with the EQ's, takin out the lows and makin' his own buildups by being his own 'filter' -- then bringin' back the lows and BANGIN the fuck outta the place!!) and then back 'n' forth between the Orange room and KH.
PLEASE forgive me if I forgot your name -- i know for a fact there are some people who I said hi to that I recognized but cannot for the LIFE of me remember their names. Here are some shout outs to people I ran into:
Gq_styles, Pixiechick and Jimmy, Lipstick and Drew, Charmscars and Matt (Vagrant), J_Spot, Eric (Vagrant), Tatgirl, StereoPrincess, Gamma, djeso, Endlesswave, Cono_sur, Desidel, Ezekiel, RabbitJoker, Chinaman, Highroller, VividBoy, Rodrico, Durafei, Karim (YOU were shmammed when I talked to ya! hahaha wicked!), Lilpoonzgirl, Vertigo (Cale, saw you OUTSIDE at the end -- too bad I missed ya on the inside), DancingQueen169 (saw you after Cale -- same goes to you), Ub3rTrancer...
And to my friends who are not TA's:
Gavin, Diana, Steve C, Travis, Ann, Katie, Kelly, Steve L, Jeremy, Heather, Oliver (and Max -- thanks for the 'gifts'
), Kerri, Rose and Chris (I love you guys!! I haven't forgotten any of the night with you both!), Cecilia.
It was a shame that Enraptured (James) was ill this night. We missed you man! I hope that flu is gone and you are back up and running!
That's all for now -- i am not gonna go through the technical review (smoking issue, sound, crowd-type/capacity) -- that factual stuff has all been said.
See you guys later!!
ehh I doubt anyone is reading reviews into the 19th page, but here it goes anyway....(takes a deep breath!!)
It was fuckin awesome!
damn, 19 pages allready.

You guys should go to your options and change it to 40 posts a page. It makes the board look less cluttered.
