who said anything about complexity? Ive stated previousely that complexity does not even matter.
quote:
Thats my point. Did I say that Sasha was a bad dj? I just find It is harder to dance to his recent stuff then his older stuff. example involver.
quote:
Well thats my point. Its a different form of Energy. For example If Sasha were to play a one hour set, chances are that it would be prety boring. Because of the fact that he likes to build it up. Its just different. I am almost willing to bet that in a one hour set, he would play semi-boring electroish house tunes for 45-50 minuters, then end with a few cool tracks...
quote:
the boring statement comming from the fact that if you were in a club and looked around, the chances are that you will probably see a few, maybe a hand full of people dancing a bit if sasha was spinning. But when it comes down to it, after an hour of Tiesto of whoever I am willing to bet that the club will be bouncing.
quote:
A lot of the stuff he has been playing live is quite like his involver style. Is it not?
quote:
If you go look @ previous Involver threads plenty of people have tried to prove arguments that it is a Dancy cd. Just because it has Sasha on the cover.
quote:
Anyway if you think this whole music with a "twist" like involver or whatever is a new concept, it really isn't.
Wow, so we've concluded that Tiesto is the best DJ because he spins stuff 15 BPM faster than Sasha.
You lot are a bunch of wankers.

Originally posted by Danny Ocean repetetive sounds like a term someone who dosent know dick about electronica would say, i.e "i dont like techno, its too repetetive" ive heard it a thousand times. as for hypnotysm, same thing can apply with trance. trance = hypnotic, semicounsious state. Like when youre listening to a tiesto set and jumping around dancing your ass off. Then suddenly the E wears off and you try to think what have you been dancing to the past hour. ![]() kiddin, but yeah.
quote:
it may not matter to you but it does to me. |
quote:
i dont think Sasha made involver as a cd "someone could dance to". And its not even that recent, its almost a year old. I saw him spin at the AAA ultra7 afterparty and i danced my ass off, they were both banging. You dont really like his Orlando set, as youve stated before, but i really enjoyed it, and love his trackselection in it. I wouldve definitely dancing if i were there, non stop. To add, they spun in Argentina a couple of weeks back, and my friend told me they were insane. |
quote:
yeah yeah but whats boring to you might not be boring to me. |
quote:
well youre probably right..if you go see tiesto chances are the crowd is bouncing by default all the time. However ide rather go see Sasha expecting quality tunes, mixing and which ill probably be bouncing all the time as well..like i said, whats energetic to some does not apply to everyone. ide sit a tiesto set just like you would at a sasha set. |
quote:
we both agreed that its not a dancy cd. It dosent mean you cant dance to it though. |

Originally posted by sandstorm03 what don't you understand? Progressive house & progressive trance, repeat measure to measure. The repitition, and addition of layers is what makes it difference from house & trance.

Trance music right now is a misnomer, because the producers forget why they are producing. Can you name a recent trance track that put you in a "Trance"?
quote:
If complexity matters to you, please show some examples.
quote:
i dance when i see him as well...
quote:
you make it seem like boring is a bad thing
quote:
the difference between "danceablitiy" and energy are two totally different things. For example some people would rather play FIFA, and some would rather play soccer.
quote:
i never said you couldn't, But compair it to the stuff on the Xpander Ep.

Originally posted by Danny Ocean works better when you make your statements clearer right? progressive = repetetive is so vague.
quote:
no i couldnt, i havent listened to trance in years |
quote:
examples of what i find complex? on electronica i listen to or on sasha? Well about sasha recently, his sets are more complex with the use of ableton live and maven. Why? his able to remix the track his playing anyway he pleases, adding elements, prolonging breakdowns, sampling, looping; all of these things make his sets more complex. |
quote:
i cant be fucked searching up a comment you made a while ago about sasha putting you to sleep in all his sets, even in clubs. |
quote:
i didnt know it was a good thing to be bored |
quote:
i dont understand the point your trying to get accross here. I already said that even though something might be more energetic, it dosent mean ide dance to it. |

electronica you listen to. I never said tiesto was more complex.
quote:
He does, Shit when i saw him last month, I was one of the only people that were dancing.
quote:
Yep. Boring is key, you said it your self. Build is essential for a good set(in your opinion). If you start interesting and end interesting it may not do much. If you start boring and end boring it also may not do much. A key factor in many sets is the difference between the two.
quote:
just that the fact that if people like dancing to energetic & uplifting music they will Prefer Tiesto as a DJ. Thus is why tiesto is #1
i love how you dumbasses are all like making these super posts quoting every little thing like you are gonna win the debate!! hahaahha...just kinda funny.
