That's the structure of his livesets and mix CDs. "Right track at the right moment", yeah right, wanker.

AS MUCH AS I HATEEEEEEEE to admit.....you're right!

Posted by auranaut on May-11-2005 14:23:

And whatever isn't an obvious track, is some new shit that sounds exactly like the obvious shit.

second of all, if there was badass mixing between Castles in the sky & heaven id take that over a trainwreck. When you are on the floor and hear double beats its over.

third thing I heard the firsty 30 minutes of ISOS 4, and Tiesto Can't program for shit anymore.

I meant original mix of Heaven and vocal mix of BITG.

A bad transistion will only last about 1 minute, then the track is a per it should be, if you like crappy music mixed well, you may as well go and see the best dj of a genre you dont like, which is in fact VERY pointless.

And tbh, if I heard Heaven at a proper night out, I'd throw my water bottle at the dj and leave

the same should be said for a dj that can't mix though.

well not exactly, I've heard djs mess up good tracks, and I'd cringe, point and laugh, discuss with my mates, then enjoy the rest of the track.

I dont advocate either of the options, I just know which I'd prefer to hear if I had to.

Ok a lot of his warm up sets can be predictable, but the Tiesto In Conert 2 was awesome and he brought the place down.
Though finishing on Silence on the DVD was a bit too much.........He finished with Universal Nation the night we went

And I didnt say HE played the right track at the right moment, I said a good DJ does that......Can you actually read analnaught????

Posted by sandstorm03 on May-12-2005 14:29:

what were the bigger tracks of the night in your opinion?

Posted by tiestoisgod on May-12-2005 14:32:

Robert Nicksons mix of "2v2" and Riley & Durrant "Far From Home" did it for me quite well. And Mason's violin in "Lethal Industry" was spine tingling!

What separates Tiesto from any other dj? Back in the day he dropped stuff no one would find, and could find. Now hes just every other dj. I mean the only thing that you can argue for him to be #1 is his timing of playing tracks. And that can only come down to opinion.

his marketing, lol!

IMO he isnt the best, i have seen much better although my username is misleading. I would put Eddie Halliwell far above him in the stakes for entertainment, technique and general good music with everything from acid funk, tech trance to banging techno.

Tiesto is not a DJ anymore, he's a product and a brand.

Kroot - Wouldn't you rather watch a dj that plays good tracks, and mixes them well. I hate to think that's too much to ask.

Lol, thats a silly question!

What I was getting at, is if I HAD to pick on of the 2 options, I'd pick the good tracks one, obviously I'd like good tracks AND mixing

id agree with you in some cases. But some cases I think "mediocre" tunes & amazing mixing could be better. For example Digweed. He can take this boring house track, and then this other boring house track. One of them being a little synthy, but not much bass. But the other one just bass but no synths. But in the mixing with fx, loops and stuff, can make it work amazing. I think that is better to listen to then, some dj trainwrecking.

One is a Pro artist with a brush, the other one is just a kid with fingerpaint.

Fake fuck

Welll .... coming to effects .....
how can one not mention zabiela.
who can bloody dare to play the tracks he plays with tht touch of his scratching and effects.
ZAbiela, digweed , pvd cannot fake ... they fuck.
Tiesto is a chillar dj. (Chillar means "Cheap" in Hindi language).
Talking about his number one spot.... All cuz of the dutch record labels i guess.
