My vote goes here cause I can WALK to it in about 5 minutes.

Posted by Misanthrope on Sep-26-2005 05:57:

if you are not driving.
Yes, it is considered far.

Posted by LKD on Sep-26-2005 13:26:

Moxies in sq1

or

D Martinis (the lounge part) on kariya gate (by sq 1)

ooooh...Cam i gotta hear this story

Posted by Stingray on Sep-26-2005 15:22:

LOL!!!

Not much of a story

Went there once with my gf and a my best friend and his gf. Couples nite!

Anyway, the service was painfully slow.
I ordered a dish that was supposed to be spicey. She asked me "How spicey 1 - 5?" I said "6!" I like spicey stuff! Feel that burn!!!It wasnt in the least bit spicey
Lisa's (my gf) main course was cold. Sent back. Returned slightly warmer. Ate it anyway because we were so damn hungry from waiting over an hour for food.
My friend's gf's fries looked and tasted so old that McDonald's would be jealous.
At some points, we had thought our waitress had gone home because we hadnt seen her in so long.

Took us 2 and a half hours to walk in, eat crappy over-priced food, pay and leave.

NOT GOING BACK!

Posted by LKD on Sep-26-2005 15:27:

^^^^thats quite the opposite of my experience there the 3-4 times ive been....

the bar side is pretty cool, been that side?? indoor smoking room that doesnt smell..its great

Posted by Stingray on Sep-26-2005 15:31:

^^
I've heard many people, including yourself, say good things about that place. But still, after my experience, that dining room will never see my skinny ass again.

Never been to the bar. If you kids wanna meet up in the bar at Moxies then count me in.

could always go to D Martinis...they play some nice house usually (its of course owned by a former DJ G Money) and its nice and chilled environment...its right across sq 1 on burnhamthorpe and kariya
