That is what I meant.

omg...that's awful. Can I ask how many pills you did?

Posted by stunnat on Jul-02-2005 13:59:

I only took 3 good pills, however i was taking a maoi which is what caused it.

my empathy proly saved my life...i had 4 pills but i gave one away in exchange for a hug. if i took that one later i wouldve been done.

Or just not take pills to start with and enjoy the night in its own not having to actually worry about anything.

But whatever, back on topic with TIESTO!

What the hell is serotonin syndrome?

Posted by stunnat on Jul-02-2005 14:16:

basically serotonin(neurotransmitter) levels reaching an excessive and toxic level.

Easy on the pills! Use some common sense; and like was previously mentioned, try to enjoy the music and get into the vibes at the club instead of excessively drugging yourself up. If you have to do that much to enjoy the night you've a) went to see the wrong DJ, or b) are probably not responsible enough to be doing them at all. Oh yeah it was Tiesto, I'd probably have to pop a handfull of pills as well to go see him again.
At his show last Dec. (which will be my last time dishing out $50 for him), 50% of the crowd started signing out loud in unison to "Love Comes Again" when he played the tune. That was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

Dude that sux. Glad you're OK!

Usually serotonin syndrome is triggered by the use of two or more serotonergic substances. Gotta be real careful with mdma, especially if you're on other medication such as antidepressants.

It's interesting that the symptoms of serotonin syndrome almost mimic that of what you can expect to feel on mdma. Ie hypomania, etc.

What's wrong with having people sing to one of the most popular tunes @ the time. If you listen to some live sets of Tiesto's from all over the world, you can here people singing and enjoying themselves. What do you expect, nobody to recognize his songs?

Agreed. I personally hate "Love comes again", but I can't help but enjoy myself when the whole dancefloor starts singing along to that track. It's great ! It really adds to the vibe, IMHO.

There were just too many negatives (ie sound, crowd) to fully enjoy the night. But when I was enjoying it, it was REALLY enjoying it.

I managed to get up to the front right about the time he played Traffic, then Another Sweater, then Naranja, and I was just loosing my shit. Another peak was later on with Suburban Train, Mindcirus, & 643. That was the absolute peak of the night for me. I also really liked when he was playing some dirty prog near the beginning (the track Durafei said Lawler played). Overall thought, I was only into 'bits and pieces' of the set, and didn't get to appreciate the 5 1/2 hours he played.

My buddy Naz (TiestoMessiah) and his friend Sonny came all the way from Vancouver just for the show. They were right up at the front the entire time with the huge orange tiesto banner. Great to see ya Naz, I'm glad you made the trip!! You are HARDCORE!!!

See everyone at WEMF next weekend

did you know that MAOIs interact with mdma beforehand?
be careful with that shit - maoi's can even interact heavily with marijuana.

edit: 3 pills is a lot for someone NOT on MAOIs!
