i wasn't suggesting they retire his number because he was a nice guy. lol.. might i suggest watching his yankeeography.. maybe that would give you some type of clue.

i was at the game last night and i have never heard the stadium louder. you owe it to yourself to witness something like that. even if it has to be at yankee stadium.

Uhhh... what? How is that a mistake? That's like calling the ball that Cammy and Beltran collided on an error. You can't call a ball like that.

He could have looked for Sheff, if he saw him coming, he should have let it go, Sheff is a good enough fielder to get that.

On a recent note, you might see Moose come out of the game soon - very soon.

Anyway, you know that the Yank's are gonna be shopping for a CF in the offseason, and I think Juan Pierre is gonna be their guy. This way the Yank's have a true leadoff man with a ton of speed and a good arm.

And they can easily alternate between Tino and Giambi for DH/fielder, obviously Tino being the better fielder.

Here comes the Big Unit, lets hope he doesnt throw another Big Stinker...

On another note, awesome catch by Matsui.

Juan Pierre isn't a FA.

I think between Boston and New York, the "loser" of the Damon sweepstakes ends up with Cameron.

Whats Manny's future looking like with Boston? Do you think hes gonna stay there or do you think hes gonna move on? Because I think it will play a factor in whether Damon stays in Boston.

Man, the Yanks are killing themselves, they are stranding too many people.

This isn't the Mets fan in me talking... but I see Manny playing LF in Port St. Lucie come this March. How he gets here... no idea.

But I definitely see the Red Sox and Yankees with Damon and Cameron. Who has who, not sure.

Well, Manny would probably be the last piece to that awesome team that the Mets have already. I think if Beltran wouldnt have been injured and it didnt take as long as it did for him to find his groove, the Mets would have probably made the playoffs.

If Manny leaves, I think Damon would lean towards coming to the Yankees. Boston's pitching is pretty much over and done with. Manny is their meal ticket and he could be gone. Next to go might be Ortiz, but since he doesnt field... the Yank's might extend a curtosy to him as well. LOL.

Unfortunately... Beltran never found his groove. He will next year though. And Manny wouldn't be the last piece. Billy Wagner and D'Angelo Jimenez + Manny would be the last piece.

lol, I just hope for the Mets sake that he doesnt turn out to be another Bonilla.

Posted by Shamez214 on Oct-11-2005 03:15:

Beltran is a much better player than Bonilla.

True, but thats not to say Bonilla wasnt a superstar when he was with the Pirates, and when he got to the Mets he was doo doo.

But they're totally different types of players. Beltran is a poor man's Bonds. Bonilla was... fat?

Well, how bout them Giants? Eli Manning is lookin pretty good.

PSA:

A-Rod can lick my currently hairy nuts.

Without Alex Rodriguez, the Yankees would not have even sniffed the play-offs.

Yea well he bought him to win the WS, not for him to be 2-15 in the ALDS, granted hes walked 7 times, but he couldnt hit a tee-ball in this playoffs this year.

ROLF... a-rod should've just struck out so that it would've been one out with one runner on, instead of the DP to wipe jeter off the bases. let someone else handle the bat in clutch situations

Jeter leads off in the 7th... HR... A-Rod... out.
Jeter leads off in the 9th... Hit... A-Rod... ground into double play.

Shit if I was A-Rod, instead of killing myself, I would have just bunted it... it would have been the most unexpected thing, and he might have reached, or atleast advanced the runner.

i'm going to second guess torre again for the second year in a row. he should have pulled mussina way earlier. he just didnt have it, and joe should have realized it.
