i agree sasha's set at crobar recently was not much to talk about compared to parties last year and just about any good sasha night. that said, i had this prejudice of a recent not-so-fun sasha experience @ crobar this year as well as a prejudice against Glow/fur/their sound and location and a million other things... but i went to the glow party a week after crobar anyway expecting to have a shittier time , and alas, sasha's set was much more like what one could hope for. his set at glow was faster, much more upbeat, and it had a nice steady flow. i had a great 3 sober hours with sasha and good music @ glow even though my highly anticipated crobar night was somewhat a letdown. go figure...

so no, i don't think he's sucking, but he sucked up his opening night at crobar this year. im sure the next two will be great... sasha and digweed will no doubt be a blast! they bring out each other's best. check out sasha again even if u think he's sucking...and most of all try to check him out outside of nyc sometime. he seems to go on experimental tagents much more at crobar than other gigs ive caught recently. even last year, when i really enjoyed his crobar nights, i have to say his set @ axis in boston in june- though only 2 hours- stood out with a very upbeat vibe and plenty of uplifting peaks. i like sasha

it's because doombot and trance addix can't seem to go ONE thread without mentioning how much better armin is than everyone else...

i like armin, obviously i like house better, but you don't see me going into armin threads talking about how much better digweed is...

Posted by GUBostonDubs on Feb-17-2006 18:12:

Sasha's played Schiller - Ruhe (Humate Mix) as a classic in some of his fundacion sets I hope that they play some other classics like that....

I'd die to hear any of the following classics:

Chemical Brothers - Enjoyed Sven Vath - Barberella (Deep Dish Remix)
Breeder - Tyrantic (Slacker's Kingdom Come Remix)
Bedrock - Heaven Scent (any mix) (NOT A CHANCE I KNOW)
Trancesetters - Roaches (Peace Division Remix)
Bedrock - Voices (Slacker's Dumbstruck Remix)
Slacker - Fusion
Saints and Sinners - Pushin Too Hard (Original Mix)
Trisco - Musak (Wonderland Avenue Remix)

Terrible is an opinion. I'm not going to argue like this anymore..kinda pointless ultimately. We each have our opinions, lets keep it at that. Now about this party: Is it 21+. Because I have been hearing 18 and 21 so im not sure.

I'm hoping he plays it tomorrow...lol...I mean..I dont really care because either way I know hes gonna bring it. Back in LA for the first time since last year...

Also, the .flac version of that axis set is probably my fav Sasha set from 2005. The flow is SICK. Love that Girls at Night track, and Landline.

That was such a fun night. Paolo Mojo tore it up opening for him....the last two tracks he played Alex Nari - Housetrack (Paolo Mojo Remix)-> Lifelike and Kris Menace - Discopolis ->Sasha's first track = Daft Punk - Technologic over the Carl Craig Mix of Tides...

Sasha dropped some nasty electro bombs including Ewan Pearson Vs. Mandy - No Stoppin Love and then finished the night with Underworld - Jumbo and Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. I can't wait for the next round of Digweed or Sasha in Boston

BTW, Ewan Pearson's playing in NYC on March 10. I won't be going, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
