thanx everyone for youre honest thoughts on the blonde sound ... i do try to put a tiny bit of goa in there but that is just cuz iv grown up with it as well as groing up with epic trance.........i dont jump on band wagons with music i am what i am and do what i do..my insparations come from.jarre.rollo.laserdance.the egyption lover.vangelis.the 90s rave sene and most early electronic stuff..i think the music nowadays is good but theres not a lot of music in it...its all sqeekyclean noises and basslines and it harder to identify it could be made anywhere from anyone...i think that real trance should be drownd in strings dreamy noises and big epic sounds....the rest of the stuff like bassline and kick drum just make the track so u can dance to it.....thats my opinion doods ...by for now ...digi blonde

hmm
let me check something...
yep...
album still rocks
Fantastic album, although not that keen on Legato 2006. Gutted it's not being released on cd coz id have loved to have added it to my collection, just doesnt feel the same owning a digital copy.
DIJ do you want something doing about that tranceaddict in training under your username? Standard proceedure is 6 months membership and 500 posts but its tad daft it being under your name so if you tell me what you want i'll change it for you.
Bad news living in Leicester mate, trying to navigate around there is a right mission, road layout is a mess and none of the signs are very helpful either
still seem to end up over there every now and then.
when and where is this getting released? the first week of april has passed.... no itunes, beatport or audiojelly yet.

where would be the best place to buy from, in terms of quality/price/ease of use. i usually use itunes, but I know there are restrictions on their files, what would you guys recommend?
beatport seems to be a bit cheaper than audiojelly (although audiojelly usually gets the tunes sooner... doesn't seem to be the case this time). no real "restrictions" on mp3 files downloaded from beatport or audiojelly (at least not that i'm aware of...)... they just seem to be the .mp3 files in 320 kbps.

I had completely forgotten about The Digital Blonde before I heard that Synthology was going to be released. Only heard a couple of remixes and old productions by The Blonde himself.
But I was glad that we finally got a release from The Digital Blonde, even more happier that it was an artist album.
Synthology kicks off with Requia which I've never really liked as much as the other tunes. It's still quite cool, but clearly one of the weakest tracks on this album. I've always loved when John 00 Fleming has played out Cyan in his GTG-shows, it's a huge track and I love those amazing melodies. Clearly a favourite. I wasn't a fan of Casca until I actually heard the whole thing. I had only heard it in J00F's Exposure-set from 2004, It's grown on me and I quite like it now.
Only You is a cool track, we thought it was a Fiji remix by The Blonde, but surely wasn't. It's got this awesome bassline that just makes me wanna jump! Nice melodic thing and vocals fits quite nicely. The update of Legato is great, Legato is one of my favourite The Digital Blonde tracks ever, so I was glad that I enjoyed the 2006 update of it. Rickashay has cool psy-influences, really cool and is a little different from the other tracks, Still very cool though.
Concerto together with Red-1 or Redi, don't know who it is actually is one of the best tracks on Synthology. It's got that amazing bassline once again, and Concerto's got a very nice melodic part to. Ritual reminds me of Arabia for some reason, don't know why, but it could be the melodies in the breakdown. Starts quite slow and ends up massive, totally awesome besides the slow start. Tronika is proably the best track on this album, it's once again got that jumpy bassline that makes you wanna go crazy! It's also got a stunning melodic part, and evolves all the time. I like the melody work Rikki's done, Truly amazing. That melody after the break is so fresh! Just amazing.
Synthology ends up with Karma, the forgotten track that was added later on. Great bonus track and I'm glad we got our wishes through. Karma is really massive and I love it!
Thanks for a great release J00F and The Digital Blonde.

I'm probably getting too old for this shit since none of the tracks do anything for me... just very mediocre power trance with big synths and big melodies. Yawn. Well, it's nice to see all the fanboys were pleased with this...
Kudos for pricing policy though... I find it ridiculous that in many cases I can get a cd delivered home cheaper than buying an mp3 album from a digital download store. 5.99 sounds very reasonable...
Just bought the album from audiojelly... I'm in heaven
downloading right now from audiojelly
Well finally we have an artist that will put out an album that bangs from start to finish!
What I love about this album and DB is that all the tracks have a lot of depth to them, and is very atmospheric (the way Trance should be imo). And so, DB delivers an incredible album!!! Another bonus is that there is not one of those horrible lyrical vocal tracks that every artist seems to feel they must have on the album... this album is just wicked banging deep Trance!!!

Hmmm looks like I'll be going for the WAV downloads... I want to hear these tracks in all it's finest detail...
No CD? ![]()
I guess I'll have to be content with some brand-stamped CDR of the wav files.
