If they ended the movie at tape 1, with the kids killing Pennywise, that would have gone down in my top 5. The second tape gets a little ridiculous. The whole end scene where they punch the Spider's belly and rip its heart out was just laughable.

Thumbs up

SunShine is such an amazing movie . I found it scarey & bugged out at certain points of the movie and at the end . (Dont wanna spoil it for people who didnt watch it but defently get or rent it out) One of the best sci-fi movies I watched in a long time . I also found it very fascinating , it reminds me of alien but with out the aliens with a sick plot/story . The visuals are crazy , the acting is great so check it out

Danny Boyle is the Director of this movie so if you liked 28 days later you will defently enjoy this film ! It was his first Sci-fi movie and he defently skilled it .

"Danny Boyle successfully reignites the sci-fi genre!"

I see what you mean but I like evil dead a bit more because Bruce Campbell hardly speaks cause hes all alone in a cabin smashing plates over his head.

OMG AGREED. Event Horizon scared the living crap outta me... such a psychologically creepy film

*IT* was def 1000X better as a BOOK imo, the imagery that comes up in ur mind while reading is *insane* -- i never felt that movie adaptations of Stephen King novels ever did em justice, same with SHINING and PET SEMATARY

well i dunno about everyone else, but JACOB'S LADDER sunk into my subconscious and stayed there for a bit after I watched it

EVIL DEAD series was just campy and hilarious in the end long live Bruce Campbell ahahaha

"1408" was on repeat on TV while i was on a cruise earlier in the month, i kept falling asleep and waking up during crazy parts of it -- very disorienting in general. so i decided to just sit thru the entire movie once and it was JUST as disorienting. thats some crazy sh*t right there, lolz

The Messengers - never watched it but previews looked freakin' CREEPY as hell (things wriggling from out of the corner of ur eye ) - cant wait to see this one.

The RING American version- fave of all time, RING 2 just sucked ass

GRUDGE Japanese version, holy hell

of course the EXORCIST (unedited version)

both Amityvilles, the remake WAS a bit creepy

HOSTEL 1 was nasty but a bit unsatisfying toward the end

not close but SPUN is by far my all time favorite drug related movie. (have you yet tried counting how many time you hear the sniffing sounds in that movie?)

Thought i'd bump this up since we are counting down to Halloween now. As always in the month of October, Zack and I have been watching horror movies non-stop! This year we have seen some new releases that are definitely worth mentioning...

Trick R' Treat - Awesome! This movie has 4 separate stories which eventually intertwine. I love these kinds of horror movies like Cat's Eye, Tales from the Crypt etc. We had been anticipating this movie for years for some reason it took forever for them to release it but it's out now and it was totally worth the wait!

Paranormal Activity - Personally, I didn't love it. There were a few scary parts and most of them you see in the commercial. In my opinion the creators tried to combine Poltergeist and Blair Witch to create this movie. Unfortunately both of those other movies are much much better than PA.

Zombieland - I can't decide if i like this better than Trick R' Treat. They are sooo different but both are equally amazing. The cast in this is stellar. If you like zombie movies this is a sure win! I am prepared for a future invasion, double tap!

The Orphan - I actually liked it more than I thought. The reviews were pretty bad but watched this last night and really liked it. Of course it gets a little out there but overall it was entertaining and had me yelling at the tv. Love both the main actors and Little Ester omg there were some scenes when I was just dying.

We have seen tons more this month but these are the new ones...have you guys seen anything good lately??

Posted by hitokiri on Oct-29-2009 17:21:

zombieland ftw just make sure to double tap
the omen - original
the omen 2 - ftw
killer clowns from outerspace - complete comedy
silent hill - either a love/hate it movie tho def entertaining
the new friday the 13th was pretty good

just a list of movies you might wanna catch off the top of my head

cheers
