The team is playing well again and the win against Levante tonight was pretty impressive even though the last two goals came after the red card.
Fernando Torres scored the first goal on a penalty after Deh violently brought down Antonio Lopez. Safe penalty. Second goal was scored by Maniche who's beginning to find himself again, good shot and 0:2. The 3rd goal was very nice, Luccin passed out to Antonio Lopez and he crossed the ball into the middle where Maniche was standing, He scored 0:3 on a header!
Agero got subbed off against Costinha which I found quite weird, but still, Aguirre wanted to get the three points safely.

Luciaaaaaaaaaaaaaano Galletti!

Galletti after his goal, if someone deserves to score a goal, well, Then it's definetly Luciano Galletti after all his work!

Kun with a slight concusion most likely, I hope it's nothing serious and that he'll be back until the next game in La Liga against Espanyol.

Tonights hero Leo Franco is being congratulated by Peter Luccin after his second penalty save tonight!
I think we started out very well and created a lot of chances, unfortunately we missed them. Betis came into the game and showed that they shouldn't belong in the lower regions of La Liga, but they never managed to score a goal.
Instead, Galletti scored after very nice play from Agero, Seitaridis and what I think was Maniche, Galletti gets the ball and shots it on volley to score the only goal of the game!
Betis took care of the game from the 50th minute, and Aguirre built a big wall by substituting Torres who didn't show much today, Unfortunately, on came Costinha. Agero subbed aswell, probably because of the slighter concussion.
The referee gave Betis two penalties, the second one was hilarious and should never had happened, The first one, Ok. But Leo Franco saves us. Dani had a great chance aswell in the end of the game but shot over the stadium.
We're currently on the 4th spot while Zaragoza, Sevilla and Real Madrid has one game less played. Barcelona tied tonight against Levante away while Valencia lost another game, this time to Recreativo who continues to play strong. They're currently 6th, 2 points ahead of Getafe with one game more played.
Betis continues to struggle in the end of the table, they're on a unimpressive 17th place, 1 point ahead of Athletic Bilbao and with one game more played.
Aupa Atltico!

Espanyol has defeated, in the last days:
Ajax @ Amsterdam
Sevilla
Atltico @ Madrid

+ Zulte Waregem
Atltico is looking to sign Daniel Carvalho (CSKA Moscow) or Elano (Shaktar Donetsk) according to various newspapers.
If true, then I would like to see Dani Carvalho at Atltico as he's a great player and I believe he'll do better than Maniche has done so far, this will also help out Agero, Torres and Luccin as the two top forwards will have balls delievered to them, while Luccin will take care of the defensive part without involving to much in the offensive.
Torres has also said he'll be at Atltico until his contract expires, that's in 2008. He's also said he wants the directors to have patience as Aguirre is still trying to form the team and the players are trying to fit in as much as they can.
We're also 4th in the league and things are going as planned currently, even though we'll need Petrov and Maxi back if we want to play the CL next season.
Ze Castro has been great so far, even though he wasn't showing good signs in the beginning. Though, I believe he's done a great job of replacing both Pablo Ibaez and Perea while these has been injured/suspended.
Osasuna snapped up 4 red cards, Atltico only one (Javier Aguirre) and Torres missed a penalty, while Z Castro that fucking legend scored the only goal of the game meaning the game ended with a 1:0 win for Rojiblancos.
Clearly my favourite game in La Liga this season, if not the second most entertaining game after the Liverpool vs. Arsenal one.
Now we've got 35 points, Barcelona has 35 (2 games less played though) and Real Madrid 35 (1 game less played).
La Liga is fucking funny to watch these days!
Z Castro's looks are incredibly similar to a girl that I know.
The scary thing is that she's really hot.
Z Castro looks like he's a 16 year old girl
But who cares when he scores important goals like this!
The goal ofcourse:
Aupa fucking Atltico!

Fabio Eller signed from Trabzonspor, he's most likely going to be a back up for Perea, Pablo and Z Castro.
I've got to be honest as I haven't seen or followed him very much throughout his career, but I've got to say that I was impressed by him and the rest of the Internacional during the FIFA Club World Cup-final against Barcelona when they totally shut them down and won the title.
He's a pretty good CB I believe, but it'll be hard for him to take a spot in the starting eleven with Z Castro who's been absolutely great lately, Luis Perea has had his spot during a long time at Atltico now while Pablo Ibaez is Spanish NT material.
The most important thing is that we've got a strong defence and that's all I care about right now. Though, I still want to see Lucas Leiva from Gremio at Atltico either now, or until the summer. That's really what we need currently, a central midfielder who can build up the game for us as Maniche hasn't made it yet.
We've also signed Diego da Silva who's currently on loan at Sporting Braga. Don't know much about him more than he's also a future prospect, a 19 year old that is.
You paid 3 million euros for HALF of the footballing rights of a guy who was playing in the portuguese second division (was on loan from Braga to Penafiel).
In the case of a future transfer, Braga will get 50% of the fee.
Is he any good?
Didn't say Enrique Cerezo was the smartest president in the world though
