1. Ferry Corsten -- he rocked the fucking roof off in Denver when I saw him spin. Incredible, energetic set that actually made me feel like at least SOME big name DJs are worth paying to see after the dissapointment of PvD and Tiesto.

2. Infected Mushroom -- Out of control when I saw them live. Rediculous show, incredible. I'd put them number 1 but psy isn't really my style.

3. Pendulum
4. J00F
5. Hernan Cattaneo

Posted by Tom Yelland on Sep-07-2006 17:44:

John O'Callaghan
John Askew
Jon O Bir
Simon Patterson
Graham Gold

not in that order!

Posted by kramer333 on Sep-07-2006 18:43:

1. Joris Voorn - First of all a brilliant producer which I first discovered for real here in 2006. He rocks the floor as a dj, and plays great stuff!

2. Sander Van Doorn

3. Eddie Halliwell

4. Christian Smidt

5. Miss Kitten

Posted by Tomorrow Traxx on Sep-07-2006 19:09:

I think that Jonas Steur should have some more votes. I saw him DJing on the BETA-party and it was amazing!

My top 5:

1. Jonas Steur
2. Airwave
3. M.I.K.E
4. Fred Baker
5. Elof

Posted by klago on Sep-07-2006 19:14:

1. Eddie Halliwell - There is simply nobody on this planet that is capable of rocking a crowd the way he does. You may not be into his stuff, but what he can do with a couple cd's and a mixer in nothing short of brilliant.
2. Ferry Corsten - He killed me this weekend.
3. Armin van Buuren - Never dissapoints.
4. Ronski Speed - He is the next dj on my must see list. I've been very impressed with both his productions and his mixsets.
5. Benny Bennassi - Rocked my socks in Thunder Bay and on the Skybar at Labour of Love.

fwiw, I totally disagree. I can tell the difference between many of the top DJ's. And if someone can't, this reflects on the listener, not the DJ. Sure it might take a few songs to really deduce who is DJ'ing... but still. Sorry you can delete this if this kind of post is not allowed here.

1) Nic Fanciulli
2) Blake Jarrell
3) Danny Howells
4) Paul Woolford
5) Sander van Doorn

John Digweed is my choice. 10/10 for track selection, 10/10 for the mixes. When ya boil it down, that's all we do.

So many cool DJs get stuck in a rut. Oakie was wicked in 1998...but never evolved. Armin and tiesto trance it up like nobody's business...but don't evolve.

The Digweed sound evolves constantly. Go check out one of his old twilo mixes. Then think of the electro-prog stuff that's all the rage these days. He was dropping these bleepy tracks and generally freaking us out with that genre before it was a genre. Good musicians evolve...they move art forward.

Cheers to digweed...truly a DJ's DJ.

agree 100%. Even Sasha's sound has become a bit stale of late, where digweed just keeps on pushing the boundaries!

You can't vote twice - the database won't accept it.

I checked on my end anyways, only one of those is entered.

Who you voting for big man? Or have you already posted it somewhere in this thread?

1) BASIC PERSPECTIVE

These guys are mass producing, and though they aren't mainstream yet, they are picked up by major labels (Anjunabeats, Coldharbor, Armada and Tiesto is backing them), so definitely look out for them, because their production is taking trance to another era.

2) Adam White
Good production

3) Ferry Corsten
Amazing guy and always a crowd pleaser

4) Eddie Halliwell
Alittle too techy sometimes but never fails to disappoint with his energy

5) Satoshi Tomiie
Amazing producer

I wish I could continue to top 10....
