If I don't feel sad, it's because according to my religion, Scientology, Steve has been reincarnated as a higher lifeform. He continues his protection of endangered species, only on a more galactic scale.

I'm with you on this one. I have come within a few feet of stepping on stingrays on two occasions. This little bugger was buried in the sand:

And this guy was just very well camoflauged:

(images not safe for dialup)

I was lucky enough to see the second one while I was about 3 or 4 ft away, but with the first one I settled into the sand about a ft or two away from it before my buddy tapped me on the shoulder to point it out. Needless to say, I peed my wetsuit after extricating myself from that situation. I have NEVER heard of a stingray that attacked you without someone stepping on it, so I'm extremely curious to see what he did to provoke it. And if that's his dying wish ... well than fuck maybe by watching it I could learn something and not get mugged by a stingray.

Yes, I can understand how Irwin would want the camera to keep rolling but theres a difference between that and broadcasting the footage to millions of people whereby it'll be hijacked and circulate the Internet for all eternity.

um, so what? who cares? whats the point of keeping the camera rolling if its NOT going to be shown to millions of people? this guy lived & died by the sword. how many animal attacks have we seen on the net or tv? should irwin be given special treatment due his celebrity status, a status earned via television i might add.

i hardly think his kids being teased at school is even a reason not to release it. emotive rubbish.

i think both your positions are quite juvenile. perhaps you should quit forcing what you happen to find distasteful or unfunny onto the rest of the world's population.

id love to see something as fascinating as this, and i guarantee irwin would feel the same.

Offhand I would say showing his death would do far more with respect to accident analysis in preventing the mistakes of others that could possibly save lives other than it would be used as a tool for criticism that would offend his kids. Obviously this is Steve's and the family's decision however, it would appear that they have weighed in on the issue to some extent. I have to agree with pkraistlin to a certain extent that Irwin did indulge in a tv personality that encouraged full disclosure. I think Irwin fully realised this which explains his very open wishes in hte event that he died. I don't think we should dictate standards that we supscribe to when we talk about what is best for him and his family.

RIP at least he died doing what he loved best.

Here's one

What's the similarity between Steve Irwin & Freddie Mercury? They both got killed by poisonous pr*cks.

RIP STEVE

I loved watching his shows. He was so quirky, funny and excessively passion with his work.

He'll be sadly missed.

RIP Steve.

that's the problem with cricket here. too many "upper-middle" class snobs who need to fuck off & die. Influencing things they shouldn't be.
