i thought the finale was good. we just have high expectations and are disappointed if the ending isn't something spectacular. problem is that might not leave them with feasible lead-ins to the next season. personally, i'd like to have seen the city blow up but that would just make season two about rebuilding... very boring. i have no idea where they're going with this new angle and i like that. as for sylar, was he still laying on the ground right after the explosion or did they cut to the scene with the ambulances? i can't remember.
Meh...enjoyed the episode...I thought both sylar and Peter had to die...omnipotent (almost) characters are not interesting to me. How am I supposed to believe something bad can happen to someone who is invisible/telekinetic/regenerates/etc....
It sucked to see Nathan go *why couldn't peter fly himself into space* ...his character had potential for development.
peter can regenerate though

I thought this was a bit of a lackluster ending to Volume One also. I think a lot of people were really expecting a massive showdown between Peter and Sylar.
A lot of things bugged me about that episode actually.
So what was the blood trail at the end of the fight leading into the sewer?
sylar is alive i would assume.

| In a recent interview with E! Online Tim Kring said: "There are plans to add one new, one big character next season." He also stated that the "Heroes" that remain are likely to stick around, because he's changed his MO "I thought Heroes was going to have an ever-shifting cast," he says, "but the cast hit in such big ways that now the challenge is to figure out how to use them all and still fold in a couple of new people, because I still think that the origin stories are the most fascinating, in some ways." [5] Masi Oka, who portrays Hiro Nakamura, recently said in an interview with Sci-Fi Wire, I think its great the way the finale ends Its a wrapping up of volume one, which is called Genesis. And it wraps up the whole bomb storyline. So its a nice finale, and theres a great cliffhanger with everybody, I would say. And you do get to see a little bit of volume two, which is called Generations. [6]. Tim Kring also revealed that although he plans to keep most of the "surviving cast" with the addition of a couple of new faces, Season 2 will start off with the heritage and lineage of some of the major heroes families, including the first generation of heroes (Mr. Linderman, the Petrelli Family, and Kaito Nakamura, among others.)[7] This season will have a total of 24 episodes. Volume Two begins at the conclusion of "How to Stop an Exploding Man". Hiro Nakamura lands in the middle of a seventeenth-century battlefield near Kyoto, Japan. Kensei is about to begin a battle with another family when the event is interrupted by a solar eclipse. |

alright so loose ends are in the beginning of this season? i lost count. but that's what i love about this show. that it all resolves at the end, or close to it.

bit wtf with nathan lol. guess it runs in the family.
that guy who turns anything into gold has a cool power.
parkman's a cheater
molly is wicked. she's such a good actress for her age.
i love how bennet took all that verbal abuse and just blew up in the end. total PWNAGE!
wats with those two new characters. her power is to put bullets in ppl's heads?! wtf?
hiro going back in time was a bit meh. yeh he changed the timeline and so on but...i don't know. maybe he'll go after the swordsman daughter and becomes the real Takezo Kensei.
anyway, can't wait to see sylar and the haitian again.

| Recurring elements Three elements appear repeatedly throughout the series: the helix, the scar, and the eclipse. The scar appears to be man-made, but the circumstances surrounding the helix its meaning and its manifestations are a slowly-unraveling mystery Helix The helixThe helix is a symbol that appears quite frequently throughout the series. The helix symbol consists of an "S" shape from which three lines extend, with two on the left and one on the right. The "S" shape resembles a strand of RNA during transcription, which would make the lines extending outward the nucleotides during the transcription phase. Writer and co-executive producer Michael Green has stated that the writers know it as "the helix."[25] In the episode "(Godsend)", the symbol appears on the sword hilt, and Ando Masahashi remarks that it appears to be a combination of two Kanji characters: (Sai) meaning "Great Talent" and (Yo) meaning "Godsend". During an interview at the Wizard World in Los Angeles, writer and co-producer Aron Coleite stated that it literally means "God sending great ability."[25] Other characters have commented on the symbol; in the Heroes comic "It Takes a Village, Part 3", the Haitian's father draws the symbol as a representation of a snake who assimilated a crane's wings after eating the crane whole. The symbol also frequently appears as a pattern formed by mundane objects, but it also recurs on certain plot-significant items and on several characters: -On Peter Petrelli's 'stick drawing' while in hospital. -Horizontally on the computer screen while Mohinder Suresh is running his father's program. -On various paintings by Isaac Mendez. -Written on the side of the pages of Claire's geometry book in "One Giant Leap". -On Jessica's back whenever she surfaces as Niki's alternate personality. When Jessica is repressed, the symbol does not appear on Niki's back. This also appeared on a painting of "Jessica" by Isaac. The symbol was hidden under an extra layer of paint. Later on, Jessica hides the symbol (an apparent tattoo) under a layer of foundation makeup. -On the front of Dr. Chandra Suresh's book, Activating Evolution. -On the hilt of a katana once owned by 17th century samurai Takezo Kensei. This katana is held by Hiro Nakamura. -On the top left corner of the 9th Wonders comic. -As a logo for Primatech Paper, in "Company Man". -On jewelry, most notably the Haitian's necklace and Hana Gitelman's earrings and ring. -On the flag and katana of a samurai in 1671, witnessed by Hiro Nakamura in the episode "How to Stop an Exploding Man" during the preview for Volume Two: Generations. -On D.L.'s right forearm in form of scarification. This is only shown in a deleted scene from "Genesis" featured in the Season 1 DVD. -As a symbol equivalent to the black spot in Treasure Island. in Molly Walker's Pictures -In Molly's pool after she is found in here hiding place. It is made of noodles and other pool toys. |
I thought that was a great season premiere, but now I'm anxious for next week!
Interesting, I thought i've seen that logo before in the first season.
Also they are saying that the guy who killed Hero's father will be revealed in Episode 5 of Season 2...
I think it's the boogeyman that Molly refer's to... worse than slyer...
thank god peter is still alive. his powers are just too badass to go to waste.
what's with the emo nathan?
